The shot he put Savarese down with hit him on the very top of his head. Tyson could easily reach Valuev giant noggin

Haye did not actually hurt Valuev, Valuev simply decided to practise his dancing lessons in the middle of the bout.

    Valuev absorbs punches like nothing:

Fair enough, but do you not see the physical or stylistic factors as posing any kind of a problem whatsoever? Do you view this as just being another spinks or Williamsesque type of a fight?

In all seriousness i dont see Valuev standing a chance. Neither man will be scared but Valuev is just to clumsey to deal with Tyson.

It's a very unique and specal challenge, but based upon what I saw in the Ruiz, Haye and Chagaev fights I wouldn't expect it to be a particularly difficult one for Mike.

Not really. Valuev hasnt shown the ability to even hold all that well let alone fight a fight like Tyson would bring.

I suppose.. Who knows? Valuev is slow, clumbsy and limited, but I don't know if I can picture this being a short fight..

It could possibly resemble the Tyson-Ruddock fights, except Tyson would be at his peak and Valuev would not come back with any quick counter punches. He would basically hold on and take a beating.

    And win of course.

  11. Just a few posts into this thread and I found myself confused as to whether I could take this seriously.

If we're talking about a PRIME Tyson (not the Tyson that fought McBride and Williams) then the only possible outcome of this fight is Tyson by KO. Yeah, he's 5'9-5'10, but we're also talking about a young, mean, hungry mother****er against a huge, lazy, grossly overrated Russian bum. The height disparity would NOT keep Tyson from touching that humongous jaw. Valuev's punches are so extra slow that I would dare to say Tyson would hardly get hit at all while having a very easy time countering. If Valuev doesn't crumble from an accumulation of body shots, he gets beat up so bad that his corner stops the fight sometime before the start of round 8.

I was going to write a comedy post detailing how Valuev stops Tyson, but then I saw how some members are actually being serious when they argue in Valuev's favour.
I must say that a Valuev victory is incredibly improbable.

I agree with the above quotes.

    Tyson by KO/TKO.

For the record, I wouldn't favor Valuev to win this fight, and agree that he his no where near the level of a Mike Tyson... But to automatically write this one off as an " easy KO " win for Tyson may be stretching things a bit.. The reality of the matter is, that he did not finish EVERY opponent he ever fought, and many of the guys who DID take him the distance were not on a level that was above and beyond that of Valuev's, nor did they posses that ridiculous size advantage.....

I see Tyson taking this one on the cards, but wouldn't be surprised to Nikolay lingering around to make the final bell.. That's coming from someone who grew up watching Tyson's career unfold, and is not big fan of Valuev's...

Slower? Or is he just more thoughtful and an intellectual ring tactician? Valuev is like Foreman 25.0 and then some. Foreman went 40-0...Valuev went 46-0 in a better era.

    Valuev would destroy him!
Tyson's bombs wouldn't phase Valuev. I don't think that Tyson would be able to take Valeuv's bombs though.
Tyson's fighting style is to run in and bomb away, and against a 7 ft giant with huge strength and size advantages... he's at a big mismatch here.
I think the Russian would intimidate Tyson, using the deathly stare he did against Holyfield and Ruiz. As you can see, He decisioned Ruiz, and he DOMINATED Holyfield. You saw how Holy was running. He didn't want to get bombed out. Tyson wouldn't be able to do this. he would stand and bang, and then find out who the better boxer is. I can just imagine Tyson trying his little stare down and realizing he wouldn't even be able to see the Russian without looking up :lol:
Valuev knocks him out brutally... I can't see Tyson making it by round 2. I would say round 1, but I'm being nice.
