Well, if Lennox Lewis is 97 years old and Ali is 67 I think Ali Ko's him.

Ali 67 easily Ali was just an animal at this time Lewis was big a jabber great upper cutt but he was still suseptible to punches. Then again young Ali was hurt by Cooper and down in was of his early fights. I still think Ali wins. I think Ali of 74-75 wins too the Ali that lost his mobility but could beat you any number of ways even at your own game

I don't see 67 Ali winning easily as you say. That version of Ali never faced a fighter with Lewis' athleticism, size and skills and Lewis was only ever upset by big punches. The Ali of the 70's should have lost 2 out of 3 against Norton, as he himself admitted, Lewis walks through Norton.

Close fight in 67, clear win for Lewis in the 70's.

Lewis would keep Ali on the outside with his jab, but Ali would manage to land due to his speed. I cannot see anything other than a very close fight.

It's a very high level chess match with both guys showing each other lots of respect, and both guys trying to win a boxing match.

The pre fight antics would have been even more entertaining than the actual fight. What would Ali have said about Lewis?

Lennox would brutally knock Ali through the ropes back into the dressing room.

Before you judge the fighters of the 60's and 70's against those of the modern eras, you must decide whether they will be fighting now or back then. Will Ali have his training camp in the 1990's where he has access to modern training facilities and nutrition?

Part of me says Ali's speed and movement would be very difficult for Lewis to contend with. Ali would dance the entire fight and pop shot. It wouldn't be pretty but it would be effective. Ali only got tagged by subpar competition when he didn't take his opponent seriously enough: Wepner, Cooper, etc. He would take 6'6" Lewis very seriously. But the other side of me says that Lewis' size advantage would be too much for Ali.

Realy hard to call this fight and i think its one of those 50/50s that can go either way.

It's nice to see people on here having a different view rather than the usual Ali would destroy him that you usually get with Ali vs anyone who wasn't in the "golden era". I to think that it would have been a tough fight for both but in the end I think that Lewis size coupled with his skill and athleticism would be too much for Ali and he would win a close decision.

Lewis always had a glass jaw and his defense is highly overrated. I see Ali by stoppage T/KO in the 9th. Ali will catch Lewis early, by surprise, have him shaken a bit, Lewis would try to use his length to settle things back down, then Ali's speed and intelligence would take over, he would start pop shoting and make Lewis have to be the aggressor to try to get some rounds, that is when Ali will catch Lewis over his jab and finish him off.

Ali wins every day of the week.
