The problem is alot of these prime arguments are subjective, so you presenting them as fact and the defining reason why Pac should be ranked higher is unfair. Also the HOF isn't definitive in my opinion, Marquez may not even make it in, I think dominating a quality fighter like Corrales is more impressive than disputed wins over a potential HOF fighter like Marquez.

Although Im not saying Mayweather should currently rank higher, its close though.

I agree. There's no one that can definitively say when Archie Moore was in his 'prime'. Can anyone tell me when Hopkins was at his prime? The prime argument is definitely subjective.

Good post. Especially the second part, on the money. Nice to see some common sense amongst the Floydette outrage. :good

Actually PAC won twice but only got credit for one. The 1st fight Manny won but a judge had messed up with scoring of the 1st round which allowed JMM to escape with his title with a draw.....but that was a draw given on a technicality.

I'd say marquez was prime. I had pacquiao winning the first fight against a 'prime' marquez. But in the second fight marquez did a lot better and beat a better pacquiao in my opinion. So that's prime imo. Age and fight experience isnt as clear cut of an indicator of someone's prime as you think.

Even though pacquiao physically maybe was better 20 fights ago, his technique has improved so much that he's leaps and bounds better than before..That's why new pacquiao =more prime than old pacquiao even though he's had 50+ fights.
