Why do people rate Manny Pacquaio over Tommy Hearns on their ATG list???

I do because Pac won most of his fights against ATG's, Tommy went 50/50 or thereabouts. Pac's moved up just about as many weight classes, and Pac has annihilated HOF competition. And no, Tommy's draw against SRL is not leagues above Pac's two wins over Barrera. That's just ******ed.

It's kind of funny, ESB has it's pet fighters. Tommy, Hagler, Pryor and Duran. Tommy is more beloved here than SRR, SRL, B-hops, RJJ and Ali combined.

 

Probably because they haven't been following the boxing game long and don't have a legitimate point of reference in regards to Hearns.

I had been trying to figure this out for awhile how PAC can be anywhere from 15-30 ATG while yearns is not and in my opinion hearns>pac in terms of achievement and H2H

 

Nah.. I like Hearns, loved his one punch beatdown of Duran. People do get carried away in their desire to minimize Pac's historical standing though. I don't understand why. I was a Pac hater too, until he proved beyond doubt that he's for real. Much more fun being a Pac fan.

 

Hearns would have destroy Pac for life ...some people love boxing ..and some people know **** about boxing.

 

Cause what Manny has done is amazing.

Have you seen what Hearns has done? Consistently? And against his type of competition?????

 

I haven't watched his whole career.

Nor did I say Manny IS ranked above him.

I merely stated why people would.

Hearns is one of my favourite fighters ever. He is terribly under appreciated. He is above Pacquiao without any doubt. to me.

 

Hearns is higher up in all time great status imo, but very close
