Assuming Khan get's past Paulie on saturday night, who's next for him?
I don't think he'll take a step back and fight another 'feather duster' fighter as people have said (If he did, even I'd lose respect for him). Khan has been saying he wants to fight some of the top dogs next so let's weigh it out.

Top 5 140 Pounders (According to Ring Magazine):

    1) Timothy Bradley - Possible
    2) Devon Alexander - Don't see it in his next fight
    3) Amir Khan
    4) Marcos Maidana - Quite possible
    5) Paulie Malignaggi - He'll be out of the equation if Khan beats him

    Interesting quote today from Ring
I honestly think it could be either
    Maidana or Bradley

I don't see Khan taking a backwards step with all the talk he's done and his promoters.

    What do you guys think?

I think he'll have to face Maidana next as he is still as far as I know his mandatory. He's put him off for this fight so I think it will be difficult to swerve him again.

Unless he vacates and I can't see him doing that.

Yeah. But I heard Gary Shaw won't let Maidana pass Bradley and let Khan have that fight so we'll see.

Ive gone for the winner of Nate/Ortis. Seems logical if he doesnt want to take 2 many risks at this stage. I hope its Bradley tho, although many will see this as Kahn taking on another non-puncher. He will only gain my respect if he fights Maidana next, and shows he can outbox a big puncher

I actually think Ortiz would be a tougher fight for Khan than Maidana.

Ortiz has the power to KO khan and unlike Maidana, he has the skills to land on Khan.

    Maidana would kill Khan.

I like Khan, been to a few of his fights, but it would be lights out for the poor sod if he stepped in the ring with Maidana.

I also agree that Ortiz would be a dangerous fight for him. But under the circumstances (ie he hasnt long been off that war with Maidana) there are still a lot of questions over his head, which may or may not be answered saturday. While i really like Ortiz, i feel he is the weaker fighter compared with Maidana/Bradley/Devon

IF he gets past Malignaggi...I'd like him to see him up against Maidana (I don't think he's ready for Alexander or Bradley). At first I thought Khan would outbox Maidana over 12 rounds. But Maidana is in your face constantly over the 12 rounds...if you can't get his respect he will knock you out! Khan v Maidana would be a very interesting and exciting bout.

I can't see Mandana beating khan when you consider how much he has improved under freddie roach.
Khan would stop him, hes only 23 and will only get better and better, he will be 1 of the top 5 p4p in the world in a year or 2.

Agreed :good I think he can easily out box Maidana (obviously one clean punch from Maidana and it's probably over). As his foot movement is not the best, he is easy to hit and as Ortiz showed he can be dropped. He has been built up just off that victory (and an impressive yet padded record).

Khan will struggle with fighters who can keep up with his speed and movement. Malinaggi will cause him problems but doesn't have the power to make even Khan worry.

While Ortiz has the power, speed, movement and boxing ability to get to Khan. But does he have the heart? I think we will find out Saturday night. Campbell may well just break it again.
