Right and I dont know why Ike is considered such a huge puncher? He really didnt have a stellar KO ratio and had really only fought journeyman up until the Tua fight.

ike had good power but not great.he hit tua with all he had,and tua didn't back away.lewis hit tua with couple of right hands and tua became very cautios.
on topic-bowe by late tko,or decision.everything that ibeabuchi does, bowe does better.

Well you gotta admit, the Byrd TKO was impressive. A massive uppercut that made Byrd go from fresh in the fight to detached from reality.

It's true that he couldn't stop Tua from coming forward like Lewis did, but that doesn't mean he can't hit.

    Agreed,

and this win/ko ratio thing needs to be taken with a grain of salt and not just looked at for face value... David Tua, Marion Wilson, and Anthony Wade were all men who's chins were well tested and very difficult to KO, plus some of the men who took Ike the distance fought him very early in his career.

Ibeabuchi looked unimpressive against Everton Davis but it could have been ringrust.

No doubt, a very impressive body uppercut combo that caught Byrd perfectly.

Starting with you. Your flat out wrong.

Lewis crushed him in four minutes with head gear on. Did you see Bowe complain about the stopage ? No ! Did Bowe later throw his title in the garbage rather then defend against Lennox ? Yes.

Bowe was down twice because of who he did and did not fight. Loud mouth crap does not revise the facts. Anyone who closely followed the sport knows he was steered away from punchers and that his chin was and always remained a big question mark.

Lewis didnt crush anything. You obviously didnt follow the sport if you think that along with avoiding Tyson and Morrison. Tyson was in jail before Bowe even fought for the title or even a mandatory spot.
Cooper, Hide, Golota, Gonzalez, and even Seldon were capable punchers that Im sure they would have steered clear of if they were supposedly scared of Mercer, who Bowe was going to fight if he got past Ferguson.

OK, a four minute , uncontested stopage for the Gold Medal is not crushed.

Throwing away your title rather than defending it against the number one contender is not ducking ...

All the fighters you mentioned were second rate. His management made sure he avoided the best of the big hitters .. great line up, journeymen, quitters, glass jaws and cruiser weights ..

Dazzle us more with your brillance !

You keep repeating the same thing. How could Bowe have fought Tyson while he was in jail? He ducked Morrison you said. How so? morrision was knocked out by mercer. Mercer was going to fight Bowe and got beat by Jesse Ferguson. Bowe instead fought Holyfield twice but somehow you think that was an easier task than fighting a guy who could punch harder but wasn't as good as the worlds best at the time??? Your logic is silly. Bowe had over 40 fights and was never stopped even after taking two brutal beatings by Golota, but he was a second rate puncher right?

btw Bowe did feel the fight was stopped prematurely. You can hear him say it to Lewis after he won the title saying he got help from the ref.

Friggin' Ibeabuchi was a promising prospect at best........ He didn't do enough at the world class level to really be ranked or thought of so highly.......

Riddick Bowe did more, but still falls short himself. That is why Bowe will have a heluva hard time getting into the IBHOF....

Both guys were done prior to age 30.......

    Bowe was still better.........

Ike is always a what if fighter but he didn't I don't think he has the skills to beat Bowe and Bowe would have tested his chin to see if it was really iron.

You are ducking the direct fact. He was crushed by Lewis and ducked him as a pro in an embarrassing fashion. He gave up his title rather than fight him. Answer that tool ...

Golata is your example of a big puncher ? Start by telling me who he ever knocked out ? As a matter of fact who did he ever beat ? His claim to fame was rocking Bowe's world before losing ... more proof of Bowe having a so-so chin ..
