To weigh in the day of the fight.

Floyd says he wants to improve boxing by creating a level playing field with no PEDs. Well, I feel that boxing is weakened by the ability of someone like Josh Clottey to weigh in at 147 and then rehydrate over the next couple of days and actually fight at 160, yet still be fighting for a WW title. You can see from pictures that Floyd rehydrates like hell after a weigh in.

Well, what if Manny said ok I'll take your tests but you have to weigh in the morning of the fight?

I think Manny definitely beats him under those conditions.

Hoping to bring about some kind of discussion, but sure, flame away.

Look size aint gonna win this fight skills is. If size was the important factor Pac wouldn't have beaten Hatton, Cotto and Clottey.

Just face it skills will win this fight nothing else.

Pac has no problem facing a huge WW in Margarito I wonder why?:patsch

Because Marg ain't asking for blood tests and Pac can do as well alone as Floyd can do alone?:think

Anyways, TS has a point and your post didn't answer it. What if he had asked that? What would Floyd have done?

I doubt Floyd would ever agree to that. He'd probably give the same kind of excuses Pacquiao is giving.

And I think Pac beats Floyd regardless of the size. Clottey is a much bigger guy then Floyd, and Manny has sparred junior-super middleweights.

I think Floyd would agree but would pay out the penalty fee and come in bigger as he did with Marquez unless there is an extreme tag on the extra luggage. Otherwise Floyd sees the penalty fees as an investment.

    The afternoon of the fight.

It's fair, and should be taking place for all divisions, all the time.

There will be a penalty fee, but:

-if he doesn't make weight, he has another chance to make it within 90 minutes, and then a final chance within 180 minutes.

If he still hasn't made weight, he's DQed.

for the amount of money that is on the line, i would say that mayweather agrees to the weigh in... that's not a problem at all...but you seem to be forgetting that pac also has to abide by that rule... in your post, you make it seem as if pac doesnt rehydrate himself at all...

hydration or no hydration... i still pick mayweather to win

Well I don't think that's true. Margarito beat Cotto but I don't think he is more skillful.

Not sure what you're point is here. Because he already got crushed by Mosley? Because there will be a catchweight? Like the previous poster said, I had a question, you neglected to answer it.

Also, although I played devil's advocate up there with Margarito and Cotto, for the most part I agree with you. However, in the instance of Mayweather and Pacquiao, I think the variables in skill are close enough that PBF's superior size is a huge advantage that would be severely diminished if he were forced to weigh in the day of the fight.

The fact is he didn't ask that.

Also pac has a whole history of out weighing his opponents on the day of the fights, so i find the question quite ironic.

Seems the thread starter looking for more excuses in order to not make the fight happen.

I don't think that Pacquiao rehdrates himself all that much. He has trouble sustaining the weight, never mind making it. If you look at pictures of Floyd from the weigh in, versus Floyd in the ring vs. Mosley, the difference in size is pretty big.

I don't want to get into another argument over who would win, just asking if this was put on the table would Floyd take it?

Do you really think Pacquiao would out weigh Floyd on fight night?

Yup, I think Pacquiao stops him, actually. But I admit it could easily go the other way. Don't want to turn this thread into a "who wins" thing though, since there are already enough of those.

Please dont compare mayweather skill set to pac skill set. Im sure you watch enough boxing to not make a stupid comparison like that.

That is not what i said. If you read my post again, i said the question you raise is quite ironic seeing pac has a history of outweighing his opponents on the day of the fight. This is fact.
