Can jermain taylor ever be a top 10 again

He could easily get back in top10. But he shouldn`t do it

 

plus he has no stamina down the stretch.

 

Agreed, and no one really ever looks good vs Hopkins, Spinks & Winky.

 

What does his heart have to do with him getting KOed? He got caught cause his stamina and punch resistance have both detiriorated.

Jermain is done with. You just can't recover from KO losses like this, the Pavlik KO was too much to recover from then comes the Froch KO which is also devastating and the Abraham KO which is possibly the worst of all. Enough is enough, as sad as it sounds he's done with and DiBella sure proved he cares for him as a friend when he asked him to stop, otherwise it's easy to book matches for him and make money out of it.

 

there are some very heavy handed people right now at smw so even if his skills would allow it i don't think its worth the health risk.

he could always try to make mw again. i know moving up was always in jermain's career path but by his own admission the man didnt take training all that seriously and ate like ricky hatton.

but this is all conjecture. as a huge jermain fan i would like to see him hang'em up for fear of damaging his health.

 

Watch the Hopkins fights, and we all know Hopkins relies on cutting down opponents late even ones that don't necessarily get tired. Jermain did get tired in the first fight but was still throwing and backing Hopkins off, one minute you think Hopkins got him in trouble then the next Jermain fires back WITH power and backs Hopkins off. The rematch he went the full 12 without any issues then later started looking terrible and eventually worse. I think it's a case of him getting too much too early.

Top 10 maybe , but top SMW 5 no way!

 

Jermain Taylor is a good guy, but his Chin is completely done. He has a fragile Glass Jaw now, and should consider retirement.

 

He only got ko'd by people with power and two of them have been by people with big power(Pavlik and Abraham) how does he have a glass jaw? If anything stamina has been his biggest concern.
