EDDIE MUSTAFA MUHAMMAD: "I'VE SEEN FLOYD WALK MIDDLEWEIGHTS DOWN...PACQUIAO IS NOT ON THE SAME LEVEL"

"I've seen Floyd walk middleweights down in the gym; walk 'em down. I've seen it myself...Pacquiao, and I'm not taking anything away from him because he's also a great fighter, but Pacquiao is not on the same level as Floyd. The guys that Pacquiao beat, Floyd had already beat those guys. That's old news. Again, not taking anything away from Pacquiao, but I can't see...the way that Floyd dominated Shane, and it was very few people that clearly dominated Shane, and that was total domination; you don't dominate Shane Mosley, but when you mention Floyd Mayweather's name, that is a totally different scenario," stated world-class trainer Eddie Mustafa Muhammad as he shared his thoughts on Floyd Mayweather's recent win over Shane Mosley. Check out what he had to say about the performance, a potential Mayweather-Pacquiao clash and much more.

PC: Floyd Mayweather put on a masterful performance against Shane Mosley. What did you think of Floyd's performance?

EMM: Let me explain something, like I tell everybody, Shane is a great fighter, a great fighter, and you can't take that away from him. But when you're talking about Floyd Mayweather, it's a whole different scenario. And he did exactly what I said he was going to do. Anything after 3 rounds was going to be all Floyd. What happened was when he got hit with that right hand, Shane thought Floyd was going to retreat. He didn't retreat. He put his hands up and walked him down. He started pumping jabs and he started digging to Shane's body. He took it out of Shane.

PC: What do you think should be next for Shane?

EMM: Let me tell you something, Shane has nothing to feel bad about. There are a lot of guys out there that he can beat. He ran into arguably one of the best fighters in the sport. I wouldn't have Shane retire though. For what? He still got some fight left in him.

PC: I don't think a lot of people understand, because of personal feelings, that we are witnessing something special with Floyd.

EMM: Listen, at the end of the day, if he tells you what he's going to do as far as the fight and does it, then it's on with the show. There is no being boisterus or cocky because whatever he says, he does it in that ring. What's his record now?

    PC: 41-0

EMM: Okay. I know 41 people that will tell you the same thing that I just told you; 41 tried and 41 didn't make it.

PC: People don't seem to think of Floyd as imposing, but he did actually walk Shane down in that fight.

EMM: I've seen Floyd walk middleweights down in the gym; walk 'em down. I've seen it myself, so when Floyd got hit with that right hand by Shane, I knew exactly what he was going to do; hands up, walk him down and break him down and that's exactly what he did.

PC: I gotta ask you the million dollar question. Does Mayweather-Pacquiao happen this year or will it happen at all?

EMM: You know, Pacquiao, and I'm not taking anything away from him because he's also a great fighter, but Pacquiao is not on the same level as Floyd. The guys that Pacquiao beat, Floyd had already beat those guys. That's old news. Again, not taking anything away from Pacquiao, but I can't see...the way that Floyd dominated Shane, and it was very few people that clearly dominated Shane, and that was total domination; you don't dominate Shane Mosley, but when you mention Floyd Mayweather's name, that is a totally different scenario. I take my hat off to him. Say what you want to say about Floyd. At the end of the day, 41-0 and you can't even really put up an argument about 41-0.

PC: You're dealing with an undefeated fighter yourself. You can see Floyd doesn't only want to not lose, but he was almost offended by the fact that he almost went down. Is that just a mental toughness that an undefeated fighter has?

EMM: The reason why is because they don't know how to lose and they refuse to lose. It's like when we fought Glen Johnson. That was a great fight. Chad got hit. Everybody was talking about Chad's chin and how he couldn't take a shot. He took a shot and more and kept coming on Glen Johnson. We don't know what it is to lose and we're not trying to find out what it is to lose either.

PC: One of the more bizarre fights took place last weekend with Cintron and Williams. It's almost like Williams will have a spectacular performance and then a letdown performance. How do you gauge him as a fighter?

EMM: If Cintron hit his head on a sharp object and he was hurt, I would advise him not to fight, but if he just dove through the ropes, thinking he was on a high diving board, and got hurt, then that's a different ball game. I think Paul Williams could be a much better fighter than what he is showing now. All he has to do is use all of his advantages of what he has over other fighters, which is height and length. He has to look at tapes of Bob Foster and Tommy Hearns and learn from them. He has to learn to correct his balance and once he gets his balance down and gets snap on the end of those punches, he's going to be knocking everyone out. He fights too small and that's why he gets hit. If he can put it all together, nobody is going to beat him.

tell me what you guys think about this. the source is from the guys That hype the fight.

And I've seen Pacquiao walk down super middleweights in sparring. Big deal. As the guy above me said, Floyd couldn't even take out Marquez, a natural feather.

Yeah, and Sharmba Mitchell used to outox heavyweights in the gym... does that qualify him to beat the **** out of the Klitschkos? I don't think so.

Eddie wants to get a check from floyd.

he knows as we all know floyd will never fight a real middleweight, so it's just more nonsense.

earth to eddie: floyd ducked Cotto and Pacquiao, Margarito and Williams, he's running from welterweights.

With all the accolades Floyd is getting from everywhere, and how he thinks Pac is such an easy fight, and how he'll whip up Pac's behind, why does he have to spew all this blood test bull****.

We need more people like EDDIE MUSTAFA MUHAMMAD to convince Floyd that he can beat Pac. Maybe then, Floyd will have the courage to fight.

Pacquiao played with Shawn Porter and Porter is a big fast middleweight. Pac vs Floyd really needs to happen so all this bragging can be put to rest.
