So it's possible for Pacquaio to increase his power after going up 3 divisions from 130, but Marquez can't maintain his chin going up 3 divisions?

Exactly, Manny Pacquiao is really the only instance in Modern Boxing history of improving and becoming more destructive as you go higher in weight, which is part of the reason he has come into question. I'd bet my house on Pacquiao doubling Marquez over at 147lbs...just my house.

Dude, he was at his absolute prime at 140. And Corley and Gatti weren't C level. They're both B level guys. Regardless you're crazy if you're telling me a 30+ year old Floyd fighting in his 4th division is better than a 20 something year old Floyd fighting in his 3rd division. Please tell me that's what you believe.

Yet it's insane to even question him being on steroids. This guy moves up to his 9th division after turning 30 and after having 50 fights, and becomes and infinitely more destructive fighter. That just doesn't happen. Either he's being carefully matched, or he is on something.

Hatton would get his ass kicked by Floyd at 140. Maybe it wouldn't look like the Gatti fight, but he would get his ass kicked. Cotto would've gotten his ass kicked as well. Maybe he stops him, maybe he doesn't. It doesn't matter about Mayweather's power. If you hit a guy with enough clean shots, a stoppage is definately possible. Cotto would definately get hit more than Marquez did.

I think the other part is that this same guy incidently has no interest in undergoing stringent drug testing, even if it costs him tens of millions of dollars.

Dude, you're trying to position yourself as the voice of reason, but you're not making any damn sense.

    It all changed for you?

Pacman got rocked multiple times by Morales(did u see his eye) & Marquez. He was also knocked out twice, per his record; heck, a C level fighter like Clottey had his head rocking back & forth when he decided to throw. But Floyd took two big rights from one of the most powerful welters in the sport(& took them well) and that convinced you of his inferiority somehow.

I don't see how anyone can confidently say that Mayweather was a superior fighter at 140lbs when he only had three fights against over-matched opponents. You're going out on a limb, BigReg.

Absolutely not, I can understand why he is called into question. You all seem to have me pegged as a Pacquiao fan and it's hilarious because nobody hates those ****ing *******s as much as I do, and they all have a different name for me. Pacteron. It's all bull****, I just call it how I see it. He's innocent till proven otherwise, but...it's not out of the question to suspect him all things considered.

He isn't rendering Hatton unconscious in the second round, though. We can agree on that and the fact it's irrelevant.

Pacquiao has fought a slew of easy styles, as of late. Diaz at 135lbs... no comment. Hatton already had his chin cracked by Floyd and was wobbled routinely after that. Lazcano had Hatton on ***** street. The skeleton of De La Hoya had no business at 147lbs. Cotto at 145lbs, and he is easy to hit. Clottey doesn't throw punches. The Cotto win is the best of the bunch, but it's nothing to write home about. Hell, he's even moving up from 147lbs.

Pacquiao been generally known for a long time now as a wrecking machine inside the ring. Why is this a surprise to some nowadays?

Floyd is going to have to beat Pacman to get back to #1.

The Mosley victory gets him back up there pretty high but not to the top.

I would not rank Floyd very high after the JMM fight even though he won so easily.

For me, rankings are performance based, not potential based. And beating JMM was neither a significant pound for pound victory nor even a significant welterweight victory but still it was a helluva performance.

Mosley was a great, great win for Floyd, but Pac has Cotto and Clottey

I'm willing to go with this but Pacquiao fans are not (gee, I wonder why).

He'll still be better than Mayweather in their eyes no matter what happens when they fight. He has the better resume!! Nevermind the fact that Mayweather was clowning Hernandez, Manfredy and Corrales when Pacquiao was losing to Singsurat and fighting for live chickens in the Philippines. :-(

Styles make fights. If Mosley at this point in his career can find the target and have him reeling that badly, I think so can Manny Pacquiao, only he won't be tired after three rounds of Boxing, he'll keep up the work rate.

It's not that Floyd is inferior to Pacquiao so much, it's just that I think Manny Pacquiao has all the attributes to take Floyd out of his comfort zone and not just for on reason, but over the duration of the 12 rounds. I could be completely wrong, nobody is foreseeing the future here.

In other news, if you plan on referencing Manny Pacquiao's fights from over a decade a go, you'll lose credibility pretty quickly. Has absolutely no relevance whatsoever to a supposed meeting between him and Floyd Mayweather in the near future. The Mosley fight happened 2 weeks ago.

Floyd is already number 1. But I too hope he gets in the ring with Pacquaio. I think he will school him.
