I'm not hating on the guy, actually really like him as a very good boxer that comes up short often. But what do you (put the hatorade aside, fellas) think Clottey's defining moment would be if he retired today? Was it going the distance with Pac, almost beating Margarito before hurting his hand(s), beating Corrales, beating Judah, or cutting it close with Cotto? Where do you think we saw the best Clottey? I would say for me it was his almost defeat of Margarito.
I would say having his 15 minutes of fame when he fought pac!! Hes known for getting outclassed by PAC for 12 rounds
Kinda reminds me of that scene in Raging Bull where La Motta yells at Robinson, "You didn't knock me out. Ray, you didn't knocked me out."
Eating two Pacman punches at the same time and not even flinching. Clottey's a decent fighter but he's not a matchwinner. He's good to test yourself against, will make you work hard, will make you think, but at the top level, his style simply isn't threatening enough. What he needs to do is to try and look over Hopkins best fights and figure out how to make small tweaks to his style in order to win fights instead of just seeing them through.
His combo punching during the Cotto fight. (Too bad he decides to fight in turtle mode way toooooooooo often)
Hahaha I could not stop laughing when i saw this. Definitely cheered me up after a bad night at the bars.
