Why did HBO get rid of Lennox when he had actually turned good?

Lennox showed such an improvement during his time at HBO. In fact i really enjoyed his technical input to a lot of fights... he was never the greatest talker and wasn't on the level of George Foreman or Roy Jones but it was nice having the big man ring side on BAD

Memorable man, I loved his remarks from time to time:
    "Paulie Magliano... Malaignigi... Malgino..."
"He should double up that jab"
"He should keep his right hand up, otherwise he will get hit, and you do not want to get hit"

I came into this thread to post that very quote. It was during Carlos Quintana's ring walk for the Julio fight.

:rofl Poor Lenny getting majorly owned in this thread. You hear him talk on any other stage and he doesn't come off as quite a brick head, but he just never knew how to shine as a broadcaster.. and he didn't really improve much at all IMO. He began talking more over time but nothing that he said was ever awe inspiring.

Lennox was a horrible commentator. I think Roy Jones Jr was very good... Tarver is very good too.

Lewis has no personality whats so ever.He clearly was not prepared for any fight.Good decision by HBO to release Lennox.

he wasnt that good at it but for some reason i liked him. I guess it grew on me and he seems like a chill dude. I want to see hopkins do it but the guy just wont retire already.

freddy isnt a bad pick and im not going to mind his slurring which he cant help. but they already have a trainer commenting and id like to see another former fighter doing it. plus freddy is super busy as it is and i dont see how hes going to be able to do the commenting gigs on top of that
