chavez stops him think the marquez fight except with a harder more punching hitter with a great chin.
...You shouldn't talk anymore...at least not in this thread. What fights of Julio Cesar Chavez have you actually seen in there entirety?
And who are you to tell me not to talk anymore?, I post based on my opinion and what I have seen. If you disagree then fine, I accept that, try to accept that not everyone will agree with you either.
And you've seen evidence that Pacquiao has a better defence than JCC? We all know you hate Chavez based on these contrived stories about him being a dirty cheat and a fouler etc.
Could you at least address the question, Scar? What fights have you seen of Julio Cesar Chavez in there entirety?
I've seen enough to judge, you honestly think I would come and post all the stuff I did regarding Chavez based on google search opinions or just random insults out of the blue?. My criticism isn't based on where he goes in his personal life, it's based on his actual fights and I have seen enough to make that statement and had enough discussions regarding his fighting style with others who didn't spot anything wrong in my post. Surely I wouldn't know his fighting style after looking at photos of his on google images now would I? Some fights I remember watching are his fights with Randall, Hernandez, DLH, Tszyu, Taylor, Mayweather, Kamau, LaCoursiere(The undercard of Tyson/Holyfield II, not a fight I would judge him on since his opponent didn't show much interest in fighting anyway and was basically running without throwing much most of the night), Whitaker and others I forgot or can't remember now.
I never said he's a cheat, a fouler yes he is like all other professionals use fouls, what I address is his fans' inability to be honest about it and completely deny them. I don't see Holyfield fans justify his intentional headbutts nor Lewis fans addressing his constant leaning on opponents or Mayweather's elbows, Ali's holding, Hopkins' endless list of illegal moves and so on. My posts about him are obvious, he's not this invincible machine that would crush anyone with ease that his fans make him out to be. I insist that Pacquiao has the style to beat him based on what I saw from both.
No-one's claiming that he is invincible, or that he doesn't occasionally foul. But I've only seen him do it deliberately once, and that was when his opponent was dancing around like an absolute wanker. If anything I'd describe Chavez as a relatively good sport. And I'm not even a massive fan of his. Anyway, I'm not trying to be condescending here, but what you said above suggests to me that you've ended up with a bit of a skewed evidence based as far as which JCC fights you've watched goes. If you haven't seen him in his prime at 130-135, then you're really missing out. You'll definitely see that he has a vastly better defence than Manny Pacquiao.
Prime J.C. 'Superstar' would be '86-'92, 130-140lbs Hell of a fight...Manny (in his prime, meaning NOW) would be VERY competitive....Chavez was really only deficient in one area: speed. It wasn't world-class (but he wasn't slow, either) and he more than made up for it with his impeccable timing. In his vast bag of tricks: left hook, straight right, legendary body attack, ring generalship and intelligence, unbelievable chin, underrated footwork and head movement, and indomitable will....Also, don't forget all of that experience. I think that for those of us around during his run, one of the things that always hit us was that the man was 50-0, then 60-0, then 70-0, then 80-0, etc.!!!! Haugen famously thought that there was nothing to those numbers, the 'Tijuana taxi drivers' comment....Another thing, Chavez always, always fought guys in their prime. His victories have no air of controversy....Mayweather, Ramirez, La Porte, Lockridge, Rosario, Fuentes, Taylor, Nicky Perez, Rafael Limon, and on and on, these guys are comparable, if not better, than ANYONE Pacquiao fought....All in all, I think you'd have to favor the 'Lion of Culiacan' in a match-up from 130 to 140lbs. He'd probably TKO Manny with a furious body assault somewhere between the 8th and 10th rounds.
