They are scared their guys will lose. Simple as. Trial by fire I say. At least give these youngsters something to learn from. These guys go from world class amateurs to fighting total losers where they learn nothing.

Khan pre loss or post loss?
Haye pre loss or post loss?

A loss can make a fighter. This Mitchell loss might actually be a blessing.

frank looked distraught after the fight, he knew one of his possible ppv stars has gone in the gutter

I agree. Frank looked gutted. His Khan replacement failed.

Fair point, and while he has a few potential ones in the future such as Brook, Burns, Cleverly, de Gale, Gavin and Bellew, they are a hell of a long way from being PPV fighters anytime soon and are hardly known.

****, even Cleverly, the highest ranked 'star' is a welshman who usually fights at the York Hall:lol: which says it all about his fan base.

This was Mitchell's big chance to become a star tonight, and he, and Frank blew it. Katsidis was by far the better man, and thankfully that means there won't be any ridiculous domestic PPV's for £15 in the near future.

good fight while it lasted, katsidis let mitchell gain some confidence in the 2nd and then pounced on him right at the start of the 3rd, he probably planned the whole thing

yeah im delighted for frank, he might have to put some back into boxing rather than take take take, cleverly will never be worthy of ppv, i think degale has the best chance but even still there is no one, which as you stated is a good thing for us and possibly the sport

    Hagman you are very wrong.

'building' fighters is the wring way to go about it. Nearly all the atg's were matched fairly hard or suffered early fights.

Dundee had it right. If you look at Alis and Leonards records, they had tough but winnable fights on the way up and it stood them in good stead later on in their careers.

im not saying dont test them but thats the way it is now and if hes involved with boxing he would know this

i dont think towing them in at the deep end and seing if they sink r swim is the way to go either, but they need to be tested and graduly stepped up

Gaz, Exactly. Marvin Hagler is the perfect example of 'breeding 'em tough' IMO.

its not the way it is now

its only warren fighters who are fed 30 bums and then one solid fighter.

look at how top rank brought up cotto, de la hoya and floyd, each time they put in better opponents than the last.
