Andy Lee dominated Mamadou Thiam for two rounds before the former European challenger quit on his stool after 2 rounds due to a back injury.
Lee looked confident and boxed very well for the first two rounds, fully in control before the frenchman's corner retired their fighter.
From the evidence of round 1 or 2 Lee looked destined for a stoppage victory within 3 or 4 rounds The frenchman found it difficult to get inside Lee's reach and the limerick assasin was picking thiam off with ease.
After the fight, lee's promoter stated that they are looking at fighting Darren braker in limerick in September or October for the European title.
Don't know about you, but this is a fight I would like to see. Doubt it will happen though as Lee would have to be a voluntary, and don't think Barker's camp will fancy that.
However, if Brian Peter's is willing to throw some money barker' way, maybe the fight can be made.

    What you guys think?

P.S I missed the mitchell fight earlier, heard he lost. Was it a good scrap?from some of the post'd i've read katsidis seems like a menace

From what I heard Barker is fighting Khoren Gevor. Not sure if it has materialized yet though

Lee vs Barker next - let's see it. Let's not talk about. Make it happen.

If Gevor gets involved in the mix he might be too much for either man.

Just back from this. Lee looked very good, but in fairness the Frechman was a very poor opponent, he didn't look like he was up for much at all.

Other than that it was a savage card, a lot of great fights. Power vs Waldron for the Irish LHW title was probably the pick of the bunch, great scrap.

I thought Andy Murray looked a million bucks as well. Hope he gets his shot soon.

To be fair Gevor was offered and he turned it down. Thaim was the only willing fighter to travel.

    Garcia looked immense against Sipos.

Sipos makes good fighters look bad, but Garcia (after only 5 fights) looked very composed and picked his shots perfectly.

Didnt get to see the Murray fight on RTE, but they showed the Waldron-Power scrap, good entertainment.

Also, one of the ring girls had a very nice set of tits

Lee takes this quite easily imo. Barker is nothing special as Belgecham proved.
