A somewhat surprising upset, Tor Hamer was dropped in the 2nd and lost his first Pro fight. An FYI for those they don't know about Tor Hamer he was a Heavyweight prospect that was on Jimmy Kimmel not to long a go.
correct me if im wrong, i seen guys ridiculing the fact that maligaggi hasnt got a chance of hurting khan, however, willie limmond who knocked down khan for around 13 seconds which people dont really know, was 28 wins with 8 kos, and he was a feather weight at the time. soooo...
Both these fighters kinda complement each other. Paulie has a sturdy chin, but weak power. Khan has power, but a questionable chin. They both have speed, but whoever has the best defense might win. I've been going back and forth on this one, it seems evenly matched on paper and at first I picked Khan, but now I might give Paulie the edge. Khan might start off strong, but he's young and might lose his composure like alot of young fighters do and let emotions get the best of him. He might even score a knockdown of Paulie, but despite Paulie's not so good defense either, he does have better footwork and if he starts to run he will start boxing circles around Khan. He might land 2-3 punches for one for Khan. I hope Khan wins, but Paulie might be too much for him. Paulie by UD or SD. These guys don't like each other so it might get ugly too. I hope not.
read what i said, people have been ridiculing that maligaggi cant hurt khan, when a man with a similar ko percentage against lesser fighters put down khan. thats my point.
It will be intresting to see how Khan comes out. Roach has been talking about a early stoppage victory, but Malignaggi has shown before that he has a solid chin and I'd be surprised to see him get taken out that easy, unless Khan's speed just proves too much for him to handle. More than likely I expect Khan to outbox Malignaggi for the most part before either forcing a late stoppage or winning a clear UD.
I think Paulie M wins a decision. Hes been in there with better fighters... way better fighters than what Khan is used to.
Good fights tonight. I see Khan winning, maybe by stoppage. I think Campbell overcomes a rough start to beat Ortiz, this one by late stoppage as well. Both fights are even type of fights though and should be a strong card.
Ortiz isn't being nearly as aggressive as I think he should be. He can get away with so much more I think.
