Yep his work in close has always been a little suspect. The downside to being a gangly ****er and a range boxer I guess. He looks nice outside, even if he drops his right a bit, but he's far from impressive in close.

I think he realises its now or never and his words in the post fight interviews suggest as much. Not desperation or anything but he seems to get the idea now that its time to start doing things at a quicker rate

 

The three musketeers on the panel reckon andy needs more seasoning im inclined to agree.

 

Andy still has a lot to prove in my opinion, I wonder whats next for him...

Did anyone see the Latvian coach going mental when the second Perez fight was stopped? Funny shit. Also, there was a good scrap in the arena between two locals...the security guard was reluctant to intervene.

Out of the ESBers I only recognised Paddy, but I'm sure I saw others. The Cubans seem like characters!

 

i was chatting to ninebar and paddy they were sitting ringside and in front of them right at the rightside was slapbangwallop cormoc steve wellings and one of the other lads whos name escapes me over the drink

Lee's nearly 26 now, he really needs to step his game up.

His career has stagnated so badly since the Vera defeat. Lest we forget had he beaten Vera he would have had a deal with Top Rank and if he managed to beat Rubio on the first card he would have got a shot at Pavlik on the second one. Now, two years on he has fought no one of note and has managed to struggle against some very average fighters. The time out of the ring is doing him no favours, although that isn't his or his management's fault.

I'd say "The Barker fight needs to be made", but is Lee who has Lee beaten that would suggest he could beat Barker? I don't mean that in a negative way, I'm just saying if they do manage to make the Barker fight and Lee loses his career could well be damaged beyond repair.

lee has beaten belghechem comfortably for the most part who gave barker absolute hell.i think that would suggest that lee could do a number on barker

 

If the Barker fight cant get made then Lee should fight a top 10 ranked fighter in 1 of the World ranking and try and move up the rankings more without the European title.

 

well done to paddy mcdonagh for a big step up to six rounds and a step up in class .lee fight was a joke where the **** did they dig that thiam fellow up from perez opponents were nt much better either.murreys fight look like it was gona be good if the cut didnt happen.mcdonagh s fight was pick off the card for me .
