Ritchie is definitley my favorite Ref. He always gives honest decisions in under card fights instead of purely going for the big name fighter or the home town fighter like almost all refs do. He's also had a good few rants during fights that I liked. I remember during the Stinker of a match that was Anthony Small vs Matthew Hall he pulled Small aside and warned him about holding because "people had paid to see this". Also his rant at BJ Saunders tonight was quality, "do that again and you're thrown out, that's cheating". Most refs wouldn't have said that to one of Warren's golden boys.

Also Ritchie if you're reading this, you're looking awfully slim these days.

Yep. Huge kudos to Richie Davis. A proper ref. No bias whatsoever.

I love his attitude in the ring.
A couple of my favourite quotes include one where the boxers made the most pathetic attempt to touch gloves, "Oi, come here and touch them properly!" and when Chisora swore at him, "Don't you swear at me, this is professional boxing!"

The main thing I like about him is his lack of bias toward the house fighter.

Too many just won't warn, deduct a point or even DQ a house fighter for some bizarre reason - it's another reason I used to like Mickey Vann, if anything he was biased the other way.

Davies would quite happily score a fight to the journeyman instead of these bull**** one pointers like al-Hamidi vs Murray.

He is a very good referee.

...Big sigh of relief when I see he is the ref because he is fair.

    My favourite British ref.

Enjoyed hearing Richie talk on Ringside last week. Class act seems to feel privileged to be involved in the sport he loves.
