That looks about right, although I'd have Vitali much lower, maybe 19.

Other than Holy (who should have retired a while ago!) I don't really rate current fighters. If I had to I would probably put Wlad around 16-20 and Vitali 21-25 neighborhood!

 

I think Wlad has a chance to get within ready of the 8-12 spot if (and only if) he can string together another 8-10 big wins, including 1-2 big fights that create a form of global excitement. Bar getting knocked out by a random bum Wlad still has another 4-5 good years.

His legacy needs to be judged well after he has retired, not 4-5 years before.

How did people rate Lennox in 1998? Please. He was hated.

I am notorious on the classic forum for having a bias towards old time fighters, but I do think that Wladamir Klitschko should be ranked as a top 20 all time heavyweight.

Taking into acount his period of dominance and number of wins over ranked conteders I cannot see any historical precedent for a heavyweight acheiving those things and not being awarded a top 20 slot.

Even if you think that he was dominating the weakest era in the history of the heavyweight division you would still have to give him the nod.

I will wait untill he retires before I rank him but I think it is prety much a done deal.

 

I think that Wladimir is definitely in the top 10. How many people on that list would honestly be able to deal with his size, skill, and athleticism.

 

I'd say less than 10.

 

look stupid ranking all time great is subjective anyways there's not a standard criteria to decide who's better, who fought harder competition or which era was better.. the old guys always talk about how much harder it was and about how much better the all timers were.. it will always be like that.. in 20 yrs they'll be saying the same ****.. and im 38 by the way and fought over 50 amateur fights and know a lot more about boxing than you do biatch

Wlad in the top 10 is a bit of a stretch but if he beats all of the current top contenders( Povetkin, Haye, Adamek) and retires then yes...

 

Wlad is so dominant that two of his three top contenders, Haye and Povetkin are running scared. Povetkin keeps tripping over roots and Haye is in the witless protection program. The latest sighting of Davey had him hunkered down somewhere behind Hadrian's wall. Adamek will probably man up and actually agree to fight Wlad but will be outboxed worse than Fast Eddie. In the past contenders would do anything to get in the ring with the champ. Today, Haye, Valuev and Povetkin are seemingly too scared to face Wlad. That speaks volumes about his dominance. I have Wlad barely in the top 10. Ideally I'd like to see him reign for another two years to rival Holmes longevity.
