As a good earnest fighter, who was just one class below elite but never stopped trying: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEaL8HqufFI[/ame]
I'll remember him as the flamboyantly homosexual guido ****** with the big mouth that punched like an autistic girl.
I agree, i also think the hatton fight will haunt him forever...... A nice guy(once you look past the bravado).....who had good basic skills... beat by only the most elite boxers at the time....cotto, hatton, khan, diaz?(which I could argue he beat X2, as most do) The poor man's Hector Comacho
Yes - Manny just has power while Paulie walks around talkin' like he posseses it. Too bad its in his chin and heart and not a bit more on the power stakes.
I'll always remember the Cotto fight, and I'll go to my grave believing that if Paulie had any real pop in his punches, he would have won.
ive probably have about 25 threads about not liking him.... you sum it up perfectly....world class...but not elite in his era...but he is in the deepest division out there.....hes tough as he is cocky...if he only had half a punch hed be dangerous....as a fighter and what he stands for hes A-1. hes the type of guy you will **** talk...but miss when hes gone.....respect to Paulie from one of his biggest naysayers ....... and who am i to say i told you so?? i had my ass handed to me with my Pavlik beating up BY Sergio...
Yep. Boxing NEEDS characters like him, and its a damn shame that his talent isn't up there with his talk.
He will be remembered for this as well...Epic....will never forget it... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcEE-VFLrBI[/ame]
