Nice Jab!!! Damn...That was a nice Jab. I can't say much about his defense, because there was nothing to defend against. He was fighting a "shorter" fighter who throws NO power shots and only uses a Jab. However, he does LUNGES-IN alot!!! Because there was NO WAY a "Taller" fighter with a longer reach should have been getting tied-up/cliched that much. There are smaller (height) fighters at 135lbs-147lbs that PACKS A PUNCH. And if he allows them to get that close....ZZZZZZZZ!!!

I am a little pissed off about something about something Khan said that everyone in ALL OF THE FORUMS have agreed with and jumped on the bandwaggon about...And its just plain Stupid. If there was a So-called "Tourney-Style" Final-Four 140lbs matchup, and the seeds are as follows:
    1. Timothy Bradley
    2. Devon Alexander
    3. Marcos Maidana
    4. Amir Khan

Everyone wants the 2 Top Fighters to face each other. But in every other sport (Basketball, Football, Baseball, even 'Futol') it's ALWAYS been the 4 Seed will fight the 1 seed and the 2 & 3 seed will match-up. Yet everyone wants Bradley and Alexander to fight each other to "CANCEL" each other out...hmmmm I wonder Why? Why does Khan get the Easy Path to STARDOM. A ton of fights "Across the Pond" including a WAY WAY past his Prime MAB and a US Debut against a fighter who can't Pop a Balloon.

Even Ortiz was given the "Keys to the Stardom House" pretty damn Early. If he (Ortiz) had better Defense and Stamina (Because he was Knocking Maidana around ring like a RAG-DOLL) and was able to finish Maidana...He would be that Star of the Division Next to Khan without having to fight any "TOP-NOTCH, ELITE-LEVEL" fighters. Yet Bradley goes through Witter (in England) Holt, Cherry, Campbell and an undefeated Lamont Peterson. Now after all of this, people are SCREAMING: "FIGHT ALEXANDER!!!" Alexander fights two former belt Holders including a fighter that has never been stopped before in Hard-Hitting Urango, Now everyone is SCREAMING: FIGHT BRADLEY!!!.

Another Example: Andre Berto Just beat 3 Southpaws in a row (two were former belt-Holders) and got better as he fought them. 1st fight (Collazo) he struggled, 2nd (Urango) outclassed him and his last fight (Quintana) destroyed him while with an injury. Yet the next day in ESB...15 threads calling him OVERRATED. Yet Saul Alvarez beats a former LW (Cotto) and the next day 20plus threads calling him a STAR.

Now if ESB stays "TRUE TO FORM". I know what the replies/post are going to say: "YOU'RE A RACIST!!!" But before you go there....Stop and think about this question: Why do certain fighters have to take the harder road to get the same, sometimes less Hype? I am quite Sure Berto would love a fight with Miguel Cotto's Brother. And Alexander would love a fight with Marco Antonio Barerra and Bradley would enjoy a fight with Malignaggi. But if they fought fighters like that...what would be the OVER-WHELMING "CONSENSUS" label from Boxing Critics, Gurus, Writers and Forum Posters?

And for those of you who fail to see my point...To you, I say:

You've got a good point, but Bradley and Alexander is the biggest fight at 140 anyway, and if they want to unify, they have to fight each other as well as Khan. The order they do it in isn't necessarily important.

Bradley and Alexander aren't cancelling each other out, only one of them will be "cancelled out" if they fight, with the winner fighting Khan/Maidana to unify.

  3. IF they are seeded like that. How did you come up with that seeding? Is that a Boxrec seeding or just a personal preference?

If I were to seed it, it would look like this:
    1. Bradley
    2. Khan
    3. Alexander
    4. Maidana

So using your 1v4 and 2v3 proposition it would be Bradley v Maidana and Khan v Alexander.

But I'd rather see what Khan proposed happen, otherwise everyone will say he's ducking Maidana!! Plus his way means he could realistically be fighting Bradley or Alexander in the "final".

Do you really think Khan can take on Ortiz? Khan lost to Prescot in one round and Ortiz lost to Maidana in a competitive fight. I would have more respect for this guy if he fought Maidana, or Ortiz next.

Bradley vs Alexander is potentionally the best match up at 140, as far as Khan goes he certainly gets far more hype then he deserves but he was very impressive and he wants to fight Maidana to prove himself against a big puncher where he failed before which is respectable. Berto's a protected HBO fighter who hasn't been very exciting in his last couple fight's why would he get hyped? I don't agree with your obvious race thing you got going but I was horribly dissapointed when I came here after Ward won every round and beat up Kessler the favorite of the tournament and there was just a bunch of headbutt/ billygoat thread's. Still fighter's like Leonard and RJJ didn't exactly have to take the hard road.

I honestly think Bradley and Alexander will be too much for Khan at this point he should start with Ortiz, though Khan looked surpurb last night he was in there with a guy who didnt have the power to change the flow of the fight when needed...
Khan still makes alot of mistakes, especially when he starts to double jab he does it in a Jermain Taylor kind of way drawing back that right hand leaving himself open for left hooks, Bradley will eat him alive Alexander would stop him... Ortiz has the power to stop him but doesnt seem to have all the tools you need to get it done...
