It's not taboo,it's just not correct.First off,Sal was 23 when he died,so it's safe to argue that he wasn't even close to his prime when he

it certainly is no shame being put in with the other 3 great Mexicans that you referred to because they were all fantastic. But MAB lost twice to Junior Jones. No way on God's green earth does Sal lose to him.And JMM lost to Derrick Gainer and Chris John(the present most underrated fighter on earth in my opinion),but I just can't see them beating Sal.The 2 fighters that you're referring to are Pat Cowdell and Patrick Ford, because there aren't any other examples of his struggling "mightily"with any "middle of the pack type of guys".No others. And if you saw those fights, you'd know that they weren't as close as one of the judges had it in each fight-by the way,Sal knocked Cowdell down in the 15th.And you're correct in saying we don't know how Sal would have looked at 130,but at 126,I see him outboxing Manny,as Sanchez was the fighter least rattled and most focused even under enormous pressure.

Sanchez has the right style to take Pacquiao apart at 130lbs. Above 130lbs I'd take Pacquiao, since we have no idea how Sanchez would carry the weight, and Pacquiao is at his best at probably 140lbs.

I've thought about doing this thread a couple of times but never get around to it.

    Salvador Sanchez by ko.

He was a complete boxer with fast hands and fast feet, power in both hands, technically brilliant and throwing non stop accurate punches from first to last rounds. I can't see featherweight Manny on the same tier.

Edit: Just read the part about 130. It doesn't matter, it was one division up. I think Sanchez had a good enough build to carry his speed and power up with no problem.

I've seen limited footage but from what I've seen Pac overwhelms him and wins a wide decision.

    Definately a great fighter though.

False. He started off at age 16 and had a lot of top notch experience built up by the time of his death. I think it's safe to say he had already reached an early prime, a la someone like Tyson or Benitez. Whether or not he'd have faded out shortly afterwards will always be up to speculation, but I definitely don't think there's anything to suggest he hadn't reached his prime. It certainly looked like he had. Most of his better performances were actually prior to his last few.
