Correct, if Prescott beat Mitchell then the rematch would be just about viable but seeing as he has been made to look very ordinary in losing twice then that ship has sailed.

Will Maidana be able to fight in July with that back injury?

Malignaggi was more than a tune-up. Easy fight in retrospect, sure, but it was a step-up in opponent.

mayswell beat prescott, probably help sell him to casuals as they can say he lost once but redeemed himself and it almost gives him that 0 back, he mayswell do it now because the longer he puts it off the lmore meaningless it gets, people called for this fight a long time ago but it's maybe a bit too late.

No way i will be condemning him for such a move.

Good prep , cleans his slate, puts a ghost to sleep good.........given he sparks or stops him.

As much as i wanna see him go for it now, sorry, i cant slate him here, he has plenty time anyways and there no better prep in a fighters mind than sparking a boy that still has ya number, so to speak.

Boy needs all he can muster now that he is without option, only going to be fighting the best, in his weight.

Scorching Prescott will do more for him than any round of sparring or pads, regardless of who its with.

He has every right to get this on and sorted.

Ok, rant over, i will read the replys

Short Prep Time :patsch...if he's for real and is man of his word then it's Maidana next. He said he ready to take Maidana. There ain't any need to have bout in July cos of Ramadan the next month. He can have the break now then enter this tournament of 4 men vying to be best 140lber.

Your need to take a step back from his nutsack pal. The lad has had two soft defences. How many you want him to have??

Nah but them guys proved them selves as the best around in there weight. Were talking about a guy who has a lot to prove.

I don't agree with what Chavez and Duran did but Khan's nuthuggers and himself need to now accept that he must now start to face the best around IF he wants to be talking so boldly.

He said he take Maidana next and seeing as he's been fighting pillow punchers ain't it about time he fought someone who had at least slightest hint of a dig.

The only reason he wants to fight on july 31 is because ramadhan is in august so he wont be able to train. So its either a fight in july n then in november or just a 1 fight in november. So fighting prescott in july is better than not fighting at all no?

Ok Fair Point, Didn't know that...well i still think it's pointless having a bout like this. I want him to fight a True World Class 140lber who actually has can actually crack an egg..before years out or he's just another guy talking the talk IMO.

Tbh though...i rather him fight quality then fight B Level guys cos he wants to have a ''tune up''. The other guys ain't having tune up's all the time.

Look at Bradley...From Witter to Cherry (Weakish Defence) To Holt (Unify Titles)

    Alexander From Witter to Urango...

Khan From Kotelnik to Salita to Malignaggi....

Maidana's Interim so must be him??? i given up with all this sorta thing
I know Ortiz is number 1 in rankings with them.

Just wondered if he was obligated to a Mando next seeing as Salita was his Mandatory.

I would like khan to answer his critics by fighting Maidana
But when did Maidana become world class?

Maidana deserve his shot and would be a great way for Khan to prove he can beat a known banger and earn some respect. As for Prescott, bizzarely Mitchell beating him and then losing Saturday kind of makes it irrelevent now and Khan doesnt have to excorcise that demon anymore. Had Breidis beat Mitchell there'd still be a (ash) cloud hanging over Khan and maybe a need to settle the score but no longer and even the Mitchell fights now a no-no so he can and should be focussing on 140s elite. I hope he sticks to his pos fight word theres some great fights to be had at l/w

On the scene of boxing -Kevin Cunningham is looking at Prescott or Kotelnik as Alexander's next opponent!
