Ray could take a tremendous punch prior to his original retirement, and he also applied due caution when dealing with bombers like Duran and Hearns. He would not be among Jackson's victims.
i agree. i rate jackson at the very top h2h but leonard is...well leonard. he would outbox jackson at every turn and even though the hawk would eventually catch him, he likely wouldn't be able to keep him down and as you said, leonard would then box his way to a cautious UD
It only takes one punch & at 160 SRL ai'nt exactly nibble, you'd stick yer morgage on leonard but JJ was a decapitator, yer know...could have a Curry/McCallum ending, highly unlikely but not impossible IMO.
If McCallum could take him in two, then I reckon SRL would be able to get the job done as well. Leonard boxes ultra cautiously early and then opens up to stop him mid to late. This is assuming Leonard doesn't get cocky
Jackson's the bigger, stronger man and had one punch KO power. Hearns lost largely because he was malnourished at 147 and gassed out in the end. At 154, it would be a vastly different story.
Kalue gave Ray some serious problems at 154, and even though I think Julian could catch Ray and stun him bad, I think Ray weathers the storm, and wins a UD, taking 13 out of 15 rounds.
