Freddie Roach will not only go down as one of the best trainers of all times, but as one of the best match makers. Peep his strategy

.Build his fighter by having him call out elite fighters he will never fight ( pacman, mayweather)

. Outbox the hard hitting Madina, which Khan has every advantage over except power. While letting the two Americans who can actually beat his ass now, take each other out, hoping that the winner, Alexander or Bradley will never be the same losing a piece of themselves in a tough battle. Then Khan comes and cleans up their remains. By that time Floyd and Pacman would have retired and Khan is king of boxing looking as if he took on or challenges.

O yea don't be surprised if Khan takes another soft fisted warm up before the fight, while Madiana fights an ortiz or somebody of that caliber who will take something out of him.

Freddie "****ing" Roach AKA Mr I want every advantage

To be honest if i was Roach I would do the same.

What is with this trend of boxers having tough, hard fought fights and automatically losing a piece of themselves? Are they ****ing made frail? The old timers would beat the **** out of each other and fight 3 weeks later(IE: SRR and Lamotta) and no one would automatically think that they lose a tough fight and become broken. Be real man.
And Maidana did fight an Ortiz. He knocked him out but hopefully he didn't lose a part of himself doing it just because it was a bit of a tough fight.

That part in red is where I stopped reading. ONE tough battle and they will never be the same again? BOTH OF THEM? LOL

    Bull****.

And Roach is predicting all this in advance right? Its all part of his master plan.

The ONLY current fighter that I can honestly say looked like he lost a piece of himself is COTTO when you look at the clotty fight when he got cut he carried on but in the Pac fight he looked like he was having flashbacks, I want tosee the foreman fight to see if he still looks like he has PTSD

I don't think that's the case at all.I think a large amount of boxing fans,no matter how much they think they love the sport, have grown accustomed to this sort of disrespect to fighters. Before this sport became so pay check centric and people gave a **** about fighting for titles and recognition because things weren't so crooked,if you had a loss, the fans said "tough fight,he'll bounce back." You wind up having tough fights. It's part of the sport, but it's bull**** for boxing fans to sit there and write someone off as broken because they have a tough fight and lose to someone who just so happens to be better. You set them up to have an excuse when they lose.

Cotto is a great example of this.I don't think he was ever truly spooked after the margarito fight that he can't keep himself together but what didn't help his situation going into that fight was his split with his uncle and having Joe "I'm a nutritionist, not a trainer" Santiago as his cornerman. His uncle would tell him "you are ****ing up,fix it right goddamn now" and he went out and did it.The way he was trained gave him the edge he needed. But unfortunately, him and his uncle had that falling out after the margarito fight.

So you fast forward and for Pacquiao,he pretty much trained himself. It was robotic. On 24/7, you could see that he was training himself and doing the same routine on the punch mitts.Jab,jab, duck under, repeat.Same ****.Joe sucks and he shouldn't be a ****ing trainer. Cotto lost before he entered the ring with that camp. Do I blame Cotto or think he's a ruined fighter? His scar tissue from the Marg fight will never help him since it'll probably cut a lot. But Mentally,it's on him and his trainer and the way he trains to get that killer instinct back.

Homie....this is boxing. You take your lumps...you fight who is available and look for challenges. B/c Tim and Devon are fighting it doesn't mean either one will loose themselves in the ring. Khan did well and deserves credit for outboxing and dominating Paulie rather easily.

Fighting Devon, Tim or Maidana is great fights and anyone of these guys have the ability to beat the other. Not sure why you are so upset. Match making is part of the sport and to say they are guiding Khan's career would be correct.....just like they are guiding Tim and Devon's career.
