but khan and pacquiao rarely spar wild card fighters, freddie usually hires sparring partners for them.

I guess an issue in Britain is that two lads the same weight aren't going to be working in the gym together to spar, they'd be building toward a British title fight between them.

It's one major drawback of having domestic titles.

Im not talking about pac sparring khan though. Roach lets different trainers use his gym as a base, so at khans weight the can rotate with david rodela (mexican), irish dean byrne, jose benavidez (mex american), abdullai amidu (african banger) and another american slickster who I cant remember his name, all training at wild card. Theres so many others as well coming in and out of that place. Of course they hire specific sparring partners sometimes but thers just so many decent quality fighters with different nationalities near by in neighbouring gyms as well.

apparently victor ortiz uses the gym to prepare for most of his fights.

I think Rob McCracken and Adam Booth are the best uk trainers at the moment.

noone put jim mcdonell forward yet, also i suppose there is plenty of talanted trainers out there, who just havent got any kind of talant to work with. but for making the most of home grown talent, and sucess against us trained fighters ingle is ahead.

met jim before, very nice guy but to be honest he's not a very good coach, he is an excellent conditioning coach and knows alot about sports science and nutrition.
