do the rest of u guys respect KATSIDIS like us aussies?

I like Katsidis The Great, a fan pleasing fighting style with a likeable personality. I must admit I didn’t give him any chance against Mitchell, as I seemed convinced he would be out-boxed to a points defeat, maybe even late stoppage. Not only that, I went further and branded him as an over-rated one dimensional fighter.

But despite these thoughts, I was cheering for him in the fight, and was thoroughly pleased to see him prove me horribly wrong. A great win for him, and massive respects to him too. But with that said, I do still maintain my opinion on him as a limited boxer, and one that will fall short when mixed with the talented and elite.

Best of luck to him though, and I’ll be supporting him in many fights to come. Hopefully they can sort something out and arrange that fight with Khan, I wouldn’t mind seeing that this July! But if not, maybe he’ll get that fight against Marquez he’s been wanting so badly. He deserves it.

 

I admired the way he dismissed Mitchell even though I was rooting for Mitchell.

And his ring entrance was brilliant!!

 

I like Katsidis! I don't care if he is Aussie, Greek, Italian, Canadian, Chinese, who gives a ****. The guy has heart, seems nice and can damn fight!

 

Alot of respect for Katsidis.
He goes to other fighters back yards time and time again, and gives a good account of himself. A real road warrior

 

I love watching him fight, and he seems like a great dude as well. His quote after the fight, something about not caring if everybody was booing him because they were still there to support the sport he loves...that's badass.

 

Exciting fighter and seems like a great guy. Definitely one of my ten favourite current fighters, maybe 7th or 8th

Love the kid...he's limited but he's got a **** load of heart. You gotta respect that he is an over acheiver and fights for the love of the sport. Sure it's about money too but he is asking for BIG names who shouldn't have any problems with Katsidis, yet he's confident enough and willing to challenge himself by calling these guys out.

 

Im a british pakistani....and i really rate katsidis....you dont get many true ring warriers who will slug it out and give boxing (and non boxing) value for money, and i rate katsidis as bein a true ring warrier...he gives his all....i became a fan after seeing him beat Graham Earl...5 rounds of pure action....both dropped each other....but katsidis showed he had true heart in that fight....and went on to win in 5....i was shocked to see him beat Mitchell...thought Mitchell would outbox him....but it just shows...Katsidis's skills are getting better the more he fights....

 

ive been a fan since he beat earl. right now i put him behind only marquez and soto... if he can gain weight properly he will be very tough for khan

 

From what ive seen Katsidis deserves lots of respect. As does all boxers

Aww look mate I like Katsidis. That guy is value for money and seems like a decent guy too. He may not be the biggest sports star in straya but I like him a lot more than those ****s in your cricket team like Shane "Watto", Symonds, Clarkey, Ponting etc. Now those guys are some right twats.

Seriously though, Katsidis is cool.

 

No, you weren't. His last fight was several hours before Khan vs. Malignaggi, in the UK.
