Vasquez v Marquez IV (Who Ya Got?)

How gangster are these 2 guys. ****ing love em. You got to. They deserved to be remembered through time and I hope they are being paid well.

Marquez is a boxer-puncher. If he can't establish range, then Vasquez gets in on him and causes damage. Marquez makes it close as a boxer-puncher but always seems 1 step behind as punctuated by round 12 in their last fight.

So many intangiables like injuries but also how much have these 3 fights taken out of them! If this fight has taken alot of them, especially Vasquez then you would have to lean towards the guy who can box more and that is Marquez with his long straight shots.

 

I think Marquez by stoppage.

He's fundamentally the better boxer in my opinion, Vazquez has balls of steel and is relentless, but IMO the three fights took more out of him than Marquez - you only have to look at the post fight pictures after the 3rd to see the state he was in..... he just got through on sheer will and desire.

Marquez by KO, possibly a 5th fight in the offing.

Dunno about the stoppage mate but agree with everything else. What I like about Marquez is that whilst he's a boxer/puncher he throws every punch with mean intentions. Even the jab he doesn't fanny around with.

I'm really looking forward to this card, there's been a lot of **** talking about Khan/Mitchell/Haye on here. Debating about pointless stuff like fight negotiations, who's ducking who and all that.

But Marquez/Vazquez encapsulate all that's great about boxing. No **** talking, no excuses, just straight down to the fighting :bbb

 

Vasquez on points. Either could take it but I refuse to bet against Izzy.

 

If you add all the points from the judges score card together for each fight it comes to 678-678!!!!

 

I watched their third fight and Vasquez was incredibly close to stopping Marquez. If he can just show that fortitude to come on strong again, he'll take this I think. Wear and tear makes it hard to be certain though.

Be interesting to see what the odds are.

 

Marquez, decision. Nacho is gonna be the difference between them.
