He already priced himself out of a fight in Limerick. So I am told he asked for 20,000 more than Peters was willing to cough up.

I don't think it would be impossible to get him to Limerick, especially if it meant Barker avoiding Gevor, who he probably sees as the tougher fight (with less reward) at this moment.

 

if i was Barker or one of his advisors i would only take the Lee fight if it was in London, preferable Stamford Bridge. I think he can only win if he is given the decision by the judges.. Barker would probably relinquish the belt before fighting Gevor

I read in 1 of the morning papers that Tyson Fury could be fighting in Dublin in June as Henessey is finding it hard to get him TV coverage and fights at the moment. So Henessey is trying to get him on another Peters bill. Might well be a decent addition to a undercard but to headline here I cant see him selling out the Stadium.

 

Manny Steward was saying at the post presser- Lee is the greatest Middleweight in the world. He said he had a few calls re possible world title shots too. Peters was saying Barker in Limerick in the 'fall' is possible. When Paddy sugested London Peter was quick to state Limerick and RTE.

The fight of the night was easily waldron power.. two evenly matched irish fighters seems to be the forumala to sucess. lets hope we get more fights like that..
