Roy Nelson.

The guy hasnt fought anyone worthy and looking at his fights he isnt that good either. Before anyone says I hate RN, I dont, I was rooting for him in TUF. But in saying that, I dont regard TUF fighters as any good anyway.

I can understand Dana White feeding RN to JDS though, Dana has never liked how Roy looked which in my view is unfair. However, JDS should be fighting far better and more worthy opponents.

 

It's pretty obvious that Dana White wants to get rid of Roy Nelson...And hopes that Santos will eventually become the next hw contender...Personally i'm not rooting for anyone but it would be hilarious if Nelson manages to grab a win via beached whale UD..

I can already imagine the scene , Rogan asks for a recap and Roy tells him: "i just want a quarter pounder and a beer man"..

 

Im glad this fight was made...will be good to see Nelson get smashed and get the **** out the UFC...well i hope

 

Nelson was beatin Arlovski until the fight was very very wrongly stood up (I think Nelson had side control, if I remember correctly, and was stood up.) He lost a close decision against Rothwell...

You guys are SERIOUSLY discounting Nelson and it is a shame. Sure he was on TUF, but he DOMINATED tough and deserved a shot in the UFC anyhow (though, admittedly, coming off of back to back losses he had to go through TUF).

Dos Santos is a damn good fighter and is a favorite in this fight no doubt but you guys should know better than to call Roy Nelson a can. He is without a doubt the best most complete fighter to come out of TUF (not that there aren't other perhaps better fighters who came from TUF, just that none of them were as good as Nelson 1 fight after the show).

 

I will be rooting big for Roy but like many have already stated, Dana White is throwing Roy to the wolves. I am suprised they did not do it for his first fight, rather they gave him Struve.

 

I think Nelson is getting KTFO , TBH !!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Good stay busy fight for JDS. Nelson is a tough cookie and will give a valient effort but most likely loses via strikes.

Its not that Nelson is a terrible fighter, its just this is a bad matchup for him. Santos is a massive athletic bludgeoner and theres simply no way for Nelson avoid the damage he'd have to take to get close enough to tie him up and trip him or something. Even if he could Santos is stronger and would likely shrug him off with ease. Nelson has no wrestling shot and is very slow.

 

Because of Dana's marvelous negociation skills.

 

Dos Santos will win pretty easily, Roy has looked good so far in the UFC but Dos Santos is on another level

 

Will probably look forward to this fight.
