Less people and traffic. The air is cooler and cleaner also i imagin its theraputic with the cool air and silence.
:good I love running late at night when everything is silent, you rarely see somebody. It´s just you, your thoughts and the wind. Then a shower afterwards and a cup of hot milk with honey and then to bed. Even when you just sleep like 3-4 hours and then go to work you feel fit, ready and your brain is clear.
This content is protected milk? :huh I'd do this too but if I finished my run at 3/4 AM, I wouldnt be able to get back to sleep. :?
Not sure about boxing. But I bodybuild and have always been told the best time for burning fat is first thing in the morning when you wake, so maybe something to do with this. Basically body has to use fat quicker as there isnt as much immediate energy. Personally I thought it was bull but a lot of guys do it
I heard its a two fold thing... #1 3am is when the night clubs turn out...so its like jogging home instead of getting a taxi. (and you save money as well!) If you look at fighters like James Toney you can see how they stop off on the way home for a quick kebab and eat it whilst jogging. #2 you can do all the rocky shadow boxing moves whilst you run...without looking a pratt doing it cos nobodies about. thats all it is really.
Like many things boxers do ,it's a complete load of bollocks. It doesn't matter what time you do your training, and besides, running for boxers is overrated anyway
