Yeah they really would price themselves out of a fight with a guy at the time was a chinny mess. They probably wanted what was being paid to the likes of St.Clair and soon as they asked for that...it gave the Khan's the reason to step out and look elsewhere.

Well Khan brings more money than most of Murrays opponents so why wouldn't he ask for more money? Im pretty sure "priced himself out" means he gets less than 20% of the £-.-

Quite right too. Khan was the draw, not Murray. My guess is that even 20% would have been a career high purse for Murray. Guys like Murray just used Khan's name to try and get some cheap publicity for themselves

 

Welcome to the real world. If 20% of one purse is higher than 60% of your previous highest purse then pretty obvious who is bringing the money into the fight and you're still on for a career high payday.*
