What´s the difference? Could you explain it to me? Although I know the term "road work", I don´t really know it´s meaning, since my english kinda sucks. Thanks :good
Plants during the day produce oxygen as a by product of photosynthesis but during the night when there is no sunlight they produce CO2 just like us when we respire. So it is believed that in the evening or early morning there is less oxygen so if you exercise during this time your body will become more efficient, much like high altitude training.
other than show off for the cameras and the fans... there's nobody up, the streets are clear, you can breath nice fresh air while your run with nobody bothering you... doesnt matter when you run but is always better to run early in the morning and then do your gym work during the day... plus top fighters have a lot of personal engagments they need to attend like promotional activities so they need to get their training done early so they can have time for other things :hat
So if Floyd gets up at 3am to train while his opponent sleeps that just means he goes to bed earlier than them, so they could be training while hes asleep.
I usually start off doing dynamic stretches, shaking out my limbs, then jogging slowly, doing carioca's, rotating my arms. Halfway down the stretch is a soccer field where I do some shadowboxing, pushups, crunches, squats, pullups. The running isn't straight forward either, lots of sideways and backwards movements to make it more sports specific. Then a few short sprints, more shadowboxing, and last but not least dynamic and finally static stretching. Just running would be close to ****ing useless, that's why I prefer the term road work. It's not a run, it's a workout.
frazier did it in his thrilla in manila roadwork when they are in the philippines to avoid the crowd who would flock to him at a later time. meanwhile ali loves it when joggers would run with him.
Everyone keeps saying the air is fresher at night but is it really? All the **** from cars is still looming in the air, and there's usually sad ****ers still driving through the night.
It a great warm up. Not too difficult. Also, boxer often turn in early after a second workout of the day. So, when they get up, they run.
Are you sure they're not getting full sleep? I mean, if you go to bed at eight and get up at three, that's seven hours of sleep, which is fine for most people.
I'm no scientist, but the air is definitely colder at night. So, maybe people assume its fresher because they don't smell the stink of things rotting and decaying in the afternoon sun.
How is running useless? Other than skipping rope, there's no better workout for burning calories and dropping weight. It also getting the metabolism going.
The earlier the better , before the sun starts to create any kind of humidity or heat. Ive noticed that I can run further and longer in the morning .It s also a time of mediatation and a time to find balance and zen within your soul.
