I want to know what the forum thinks of this match up.
Would Haye be a stylistic nightmare for Lennox, or would Lennox's jab and patience be the key??
Would Haye have enough power to trouble Lennox??
We know Lennox does, but how would Haye take one of Lennox's power straight rights?

Pretty much this if Lewis connected. I think Haye might aviod him a little longer, but i was argue this would be the outcome. Which is what i fear might happen if he gets in there with a Klit

Lennox maybe plays it safe for a round due to Haye's speed but as soon as that right hand lands it's all over.

Yeah, i have always wondered if Haye has got it in him to avoid a dangerous puncher like a klit or lewis etc. He is fast, but Ruiz was catching him

Haye has virtually no chance in my opinion.

    Lewis KO1.

I like Haye, but he's neither big enough, fast enough or durable enough to have a chance against Lewis.

He might have a chance against little Lennox if they can come to some agreement, but even then I'd say he's an outsider.

I think this was the response i was prbably expecting.

The thing is now that there is no-one in the heavyweight division who you can hands down say is going to totally annihalate haye. Klits might beat him, but it will be competitive.

Lennox appears to have been the last great heavyweight IMO.
World class jab, and huge power.

Whereas Haye has the speed of a man at light heavy, he still doesn't seem to have a big enough frame to truly dominate at heavy.

Is it fair to say he would have been eaten alive late 90's early 00's?

I don't personally feel Haye would live with Lennox in his prime.

I just wanted to see if people thought there were any attributes haye has to help him compete against a live dangerous heavyweight, and not the fat ****s around now (klits aside)

Haye isnt exactly "stylistic" he throws a lot of wide punches. He is a decent fighter and being a Brit i enjoy watching him and i think he showed with Ruiz he can be an exciting fighter but Lewis catches him and he drops. Not in the same class as Lewis.

I think he has a style that causes some problems and not other, which is the only reason i used the term "stylistic".
Although Lennox is no doubt in my mind an atg, he has on occasion had to work an opponent out, and looked ponderous in doing so. If haye could present lennox with something new to think about, could he take advantage of the indecision this might cause lennox?

Haye's speed is a bit of a myth. He has fast hands, yes, but watch his fights against Fragomeni and Mormeck. Neither opponent was a speed demon and they were considerably shorter than Haye, yet both landed good punches. Haye won those fights due to superior power, certainly not speed. Haye doesn't dance like Ali or steamroll like Tyson. He is not overall faster than Wlad, if the whole ratio of size, reach, footwork and hand movement is concerned. A Mormeck - level opponent wouldn't land a single punch on Wlad, just as Chagaev didn't, because Wlad moves too well for his size. Taller fighters are often regarded as slower than they are, because a bigger object moves slower in relation to it's size. Much like a cessna looks faster than a 747, but is isn fact slower. Herbie Hide was supposed to beat the "slow" Vitali and yet he didn't have any speed advantage.

Lewis - haye would look like Vitali - Hide, man against boy. And I am picking Wlad to totally dominate Haye as well, if that fight ever happens.

There maybe be a chance for that in the first few rounds like with Vitali but i dont think Haye is physicaly strong enough nor smart enough to pose any real problems for Lewis. Although i am sure someone some where will have ann argument for it.
