Forget the racial stuff, Pavlik is in a lot of trouble if he gets in there with Bute. I'm not sure if Bute will be able to stop him, but I wouldn't rule it out. Bute can hit and Pavlik can be hit.

 

I'm with you... think it isn't a smart move from Pavlik.
But if he wins, he would be restored at once... Don't think he will though.
