I would like to seem him reestablish himself. I think he's better than alot of these guys HBO is trying to push @ 140, but he's now being overlooked because of the lost the Bradley. Alexander needs an opponent. What about Peterson?
Peterson is a good fighter but I'd like to see Arum do more with him. He would make a very good opponent for Alexander in August, actually since I doubt Alexander gets one of the big options like Bradley, Khan, or Madaina for that date then Peterson would be my preference.
He isn't Mexican or foreign so HBO doesn't want anything to do with him, sadly neither does Showtime.
No massive reward in beating him because Bradley did a number on him but a fair amount of risk as if he looks any worse than Timmy did against him then Alexander's stock goes down & he loses part of his negotiating clout against Bradley down the line. Then again, Kotelnik & Prescott aren't exactly great fights either, but not bad for a keep busy.
Also, i think Team Alexander wants him in a fight that they KNOW he is gonna win. Alexander-Peterson is a 50/50 fight
Just as valid a question - what the hell is going on with his still-undefeated brother Anthony? Is the undercard of Peter-Aguilera on FSN really the best spot for him at this point in time? :huh Since Trejo and Jauregui he's taken big steps backward...Lamont may have lost but at least he got big-audience exposure and put his talent on display (with the incidental misfortune of sharing the ring with a much greater talent).
Is Anthony also with Top Rank? I would like to see Arum get this guy on a winning streak & than claim he's the most ducked man at 140 type marketing that he did with Margarito so he can get some type of attention
I don't know...they were co-featured together on the same cards for a time. Maybe they should go back to that. "Talented brothers" always markets well (it helped the Marquez boys propel themselves to the Vazquez trilogy and a shot at Barrera's WBC title).
