I agree with most of that. To be fair though mate it was shocking reffing.

 

I will be willing to have a bet with you if this fight comes off.

Hopkins has no gas left in the tank and a ref in wales won't let him get away with the **** he did in the states.

 

Sorry mate but that is deluded. What about the head butts? What about the Hollyoaks standard acting?

What has Hopkins throwing himself on the floor got to do with Joe Cortez , i think your the only person ive seen actually put Calzaghe's performance down to Cortez that night if im honest mate .

Looks like we'll have to dis agree here , i actually thought Cortez got it just about right .

 

I don't put Joe's performance down to Cortez and I have never said that. It was a poor performance from Joe.

But watch the Hatton vs Floyd and then watch the Calzaghe vs B-Hop, then come and tell me that Cortez is firm but fair. What a load of bull.

The people in the back rows could see the head butts but Cortez didn't.

Is a fair point though I thought Joe started cold. He often got nervous and I think the occasion got to him a bit.

After the Jones performance and the one before it - Hopkins vs Calzaghe is a non event now I feel - even Ring have finally kicked BH out the top ten.

It's a shame as I for one would have liked to have seen a pretty instant rematch.

 

Calzaghe is 38 years old and hasn't boxed a breathing body in over two years...anyone of the super 6 contenders and a slack handful of LHWs would take him apart if he decided to come back against a live opponent. If the reports about his lifestyle are true he would even be lucky to pass a drugs test.
