Shah Khan (Amir's Dad) "Murray priced himself out of Khan fight twice"

Only Audley is Godly, Khan is somewhere between Paul 'scrap iron' Ryan and Paul 'silky' Jones.

Anyway Khan is so far past Murray now, he's about to lap him a third time, unless of course he crashes into some old man.... again. I still dont see Murray catching up tho

And i always wondered why Murray hardly ever fights, its cos he's too busy in the gym.

It isn't a problem, its just intellectually flawed...using your criteria you would be excluding people like Patterson or Hearns from your watch list which would be a shame.

Patterson was outweighed during most of his Heavy tenure. He was stopped by two fighters; one with one of the hardest right hands in Heavyweight history (twice avanged by stoppage) and Liston (who, as wel all know, was a beast) Okay, he was dropped by some smaller fighters and jokers (Rademacher for instance) but for a man who was a natural light heavy and only moved up for money; I think his whiskers were average :good

Hearns was stopped towards the end of his prime by Hagler (a monster) and Leonard at his Welterweight peak (who's an ATG) ; not the same as Limond and Prescott.

Also, I didn't say I wouldn't watch Khan; just that I won't support him.

 

If Murray was offered 3 figures to fight Amir Khan and turned it down then that's his fault...:yep

Amir Khan has well moved on and I don't think that Murray will feature on his radar unless he brings something substantial to the table...:deal

Patterson wasn't just dropped occasionally, he had padding stitched into the seat of his trunks to dull the impact of the canvas...he went down 20 times during his career but was still able to achieve.

Who will you be supporting when Khan meets the equally chinny (I hate that phrase) Maidana?

Yep, I remember something like this, mate. Darni (who'd have thought he'd start a Khan thread) posted a thread along the lines of, 'Murray was given the chance to fight Khan and turned it down', a while back only for the thread to completely backfire as it was revealed that Warren wanted several (that number is from memory) options on Murray if he beat Khan.

I can't blame Murray for turning down a contract which gave options to another promoter at all, but it would be daft if he turned down a percentage split however low it was compared to Khan's slice if it was a career-high payday. This is all speculative, though, and no complete facts are known on this matter.

I'd guess it was more Hennesey who wouldn't entertian the options rather than Murray.

Murray giving Warren 3 options would probably result him getting decent fights and earning quite well.
