If Khan manages to unify all the belts at 140, and it's a big if, would he have accomplished more than Hatton did given the respective depth of the division during Hatton's era and now?

Hatton never unified, Khan's is probably in a harder deeper division

Hatton didn't unify all the belts. Do you mean Tsyzu?

Hatton unified against Maussa. Now had he beaten Mayweather and/or Cotto, that would be impressive. Anyway, Hatton's 140 lb. division with Tsyzu, Mayweather, and Cotto is better than the current 140 lbers. However, if Khan beats Bradley and Alexander(along with his win over Kotelnik), that's better than Ricky beating Tszyu and Maussa.

Hatton was in a better division, although as previously stated, he never unified.

    Cotto
    Mayweather
    Tszyu
    Judah (prime)

Hatton did unify, he just never unified all the titles. He did unify the WBA and IBF titles though.

Would agree with this, except with one caveat, Mayweather only compaigned at 140 for a couple of fights and Tszyu was on the verge of retirement.

By the time Hatton was relevant @140 the big dogs had gone , Floyd , Cotto , Judah and Tszyu !!!!! , therefore Hatton was pretty much standing in a division all alone .

Khan however is in the biggest shark tank of a division in world boxing , if he unify's in that division that massively outweighs Hatton's acheivements @140 IMHO !!!!!!!!!

I think if khan unifies this division then he beats all the achievements that Hatton made coz to be honest Hatton never acchieved anything else apart from rule 140 weight division as soon as he stepped a level he lost so Khan beating maidan, Alexander/Bradley wud be better than hatton altogether especially coz of the fact that khan is constantly doubted coz of his chin so if he does unify then fair play and deserves a place in top 10 p4p.

That's not even true. He beat Tszyu to become relevant. Right after Mayweather beat Gatti, he tried to fight Hatton but was turned down. Hatton defended his title a few times before Cotto left. So Hatton beat Tszyu, turned down a fight with Mayweather and never pursued a fight with Cotto. Hatton also chose not to fight Witter and ignored Bradley. Hatton had a chance to fight some really good fighters at 140 and chose not to.

Wow, so Hatton's achievements at 140 are:

Beat a semi-retired inactive Tszyu (if that fight happened in other country Hatton would have points deducted for persistent fouling)
    Maussa - enough said
Malinaggi - B+ fighter at most
Castillo - shot & moved up from 135 looking for a payday

To top it all off he ducked Witter and avoided Bradley & Cotto.

hatton never unified he beat the undisputed Champ in Tyszu. and although 140 is deep. Tyszu also unfied a deep division. and with an iron fist. unforunately none of the champs are on a Tyszu level yet and may never get there(minus Alexander or maybe Maidana) as they seem to have the tools and Raw power in Maidana's case to get the attention of the fans. so no At this point Hatton would have accomplished more in having beat the number 2 or 3 p4p fighter for the undisouted title.

he also was the first to beat urango, gots a great win over ben tacki, Castillo who at the time had still been considered good. so the Tyszu fight puts him over

its a shame that hatton did not fight more elite contenders and former champs during that time.
He missed out on Judah, Witter and Gatti.
That 140 was stacked at one point.

if kha unifies all 4 then yes its better than what hatton achieved, but khan needs to become a 3 weight champ imo to have a better resume than hatton - khan can still make lightweight so he should fight the easiest beltholder ther, then establish himself at welterweight
