Pac would get a lot of credit, and rightfuly so.

 

Pac will get massive credit as long as he tests.

 

Pacquiao would get all the credit in the world if he won. It would be business as usual if Mayweather wins.

Pac hasn't been KOed in over a decade, Floyd has gotten stoppages, but not knocked anyone clean out in a long time.

Fast forward to November:

Pacquiao has benefited from steroids for the past 8 years. 2 months of being clean won't erase the unnatural strength and stamina he's managed to obtain through illegal means.

Floyd is also clearly past his best. He looked like his legs were gone against Mosley and was getting caught with telegraphed overhand rights from a 38 year old. He couldn't even finish a 36 year old bloated featherweight in his previous fight.

Pacquiao deserves no credit for this win, and had this fight happened while Floyd was still active and in his prime, he would've KOed Manny in < 6 rounds without taking a single punch.

 

Not now at the least, only because of the character he portrays. In the distant future there would be much more acclaim.
