Well, Holyfield did manage to fight Valuev to a close and contested verdict, so I still wouldn't write him off as being a non-entity, but your points are well taken..

Hoyfield loves to ****. And apparently he doesn't know how to use a rubber.

Just for that he has a lot of consequences and a lot of mouths to feed....

Fighting Holyfield would be a good move by Team Adamek. They are smart, they wont risk too much until some big fight (Klitschko, Haye, or eliminator).

True, but on the other hand, a fight with Holyfield represents a big payday and (most likely) an easy victory that will keep him in line for a title shot.

From that perspective, can you really blame him?

Besides, if Adamek can KO Holy maybe he will do the boxing world a favor and finally retire.

Not really, this is propbably the worse era of HW boxing ever, other than the Klits and Haye, there is no one else for him.

As for Holyfield, we saw him get embarrassed by Byrd, Toney, and Donald yrs ago, but at nearly 50 he is suddenly able to compete, it just goes to show how horrible today's HWs are.

Sadly I agree but holy won't retire even if he is stopped, Toney embarrassed him yet he fights on.

I dont like the idea. But reading polish media it would be some kind of tune-up before final eliminator or title shot. Adamek just wants to stay busy and fight 4 times a year, so if Hbo doesnt have a fight for him atm, he'll fight holyfield and negotiate the future Hbo date against serious oponnent. Just like he was in negotations with arreola even before estrada fight.

Money. Both Adamek and Holy want to fight and it would be sellout so why not? Adamek is one of the most active fighters out there and he want's to be in shape. He wants to fight 2 times more this year so why not with Holyfield. I would rather see this fight than Adamek vs Jeremy Bates.

Not sure what to think. I guess with no Title shot available right now, TA wants a keep busy fight against a name pple have heard of. Plus, I don't think Holyfield lays a glove on Adamek & they know that its a fairly safe fight.

I'll go see it if it happens!:p

Eddie Chambers, Solis, Peter or Bolystov would be far more challenging fights. No comparison.

I don't like the idea of the fight too much, personally. Although I don't think you can blame Adamek, you have to blame Holyfield for not retiring yet. His name is still big and attractive enough to entice the promoters.

Also, don't forget that Adamek's team contacted Wlad's team to try and negotiate a fight but they said absolutely not until the titles are unified.

Adamek will probably take a lot of these just stay busy fights until he can get that title shot.
