How good was FW too Kevin Mitchell during the bad times

In the build up to the Katsidis fight Mitchell was raving about the support FW had given him. The reality is that during the hard times when he had his hand injury he worked on the tube to make ends meet.

Obviously no sick pay when you are under contract as a boxer?

Compare this to footballers like Kieran Dyer

Frank did a lot for him. He helped may the Mortgage.

And for this fight, He payed a huge purse bid for the fight. The big arena, the amount of promotion he put into it.

Mitchell was really a ***** in a way if he didn't train properly. He blew his shot. But he's a nice guy and hope he rebounds. But I think European level at best.

Khan made £1.2mil, and I rememebr reading one of the articles where he was slagging Amir off about Mitchell making a third of that, so about £400,000, which is a fair share for a guy who'd never fought a ranked contender.

All of Warren fighters are well paid and well looked after, especially in comparison to what other promoters do.

i belive he won the purse bid at just over $500k the split was 80-20 in kats favour so mitchell earnt about $100k once he pays promoter ,trainer and tax we probably wont walk away with much more than 30k sterling

wow 80-20? thats pretty incrediblwe, no wonder Katsidis was so willing to fight for the rest of his career in England. I heard Katsidis made $400,000, cos thats about how much Mallignaggi was being paid, when talk of the Katsidis-Khan was brought up by Schaeffer.

Warren won the purse bid for $515,000.

    20% of that is $103,000. Thats £68,666

Tibbs takes 10%. leaving Mitchell with £61,799.40 which he will be lucky to see £40,000 off but still not bad for 8 minutes.

Warren will get his cash from any cash made from the promotion. Which when you consider sky and international TV, sponsorship and 18,000 in Upton Park will be fairly decent.

warren made a nice few quid from the mitchell fight estimates range between 11,000 and 20,000 i was there and it did nt look much more than 10000 paying an average of say £60 meant the gate money was £600k the sky money and merchandising/programmes sales probably added another 100k so it made around 1millon dollars say he paid 505k in purse bids 200k for the hire of the ground insurance and undercard fighters(most of which are signed to him) add another 100k for other expenses he still made around $200k so dont worry frank would have done ok out of it all but i doubt he will use the money to pay back calzaghe after the court confirmed he turned him over

Actually i dont think the venue hire works like that i think the deal is something like a revenue share deal Warren pays his expenses, purses security etc from the ticket sales/tv rights. The stadium takes all the food drink sales car parking. The remainder that is left from ticket sales and tv revenue is then split between Mr Warren and the football club

west ham or a venue wont get any of the tv money.

the venue will have a maximum fee, and warren will take the rest
