Absolutely happens with both sets of fans. Larry Merchant wishing Floyd was more exciting is racism according to the Joyboys.

I also have PAC at #1 since I consider Floyd's win over JMM no greater than PAC's win over Hatton and Floyd's win over Mosley is no greater than PAC's wins over Cotto AND Clottey. Floyd was not able to overtake PAC yet as of this time.

How can they cry racist when everybody likes Pac and nobody likes Floyd bar a few dudes..lol They would gladly knock Floyd off of the podium if they felt he was not worthy.

To be fair... This is a natural reaction when people in their own minds feel like others are shoving him down their throats...

They overcompansite their opinions and underrate the guy.

This is a very good point. Like I said before as a pac fan it must get annoying as hell when these idiots go around pissing everyone off. Its kinda like it was when Floyd hate/blind love was at its worst a couple of years ago.

Floyd fans are pretty used to him getting thrashed in the media and being attacked all over the internet.

Besides, the reaction against Merchant is not so much about Floyd, but about his "Farmboxeresque" history. Plenty of non-Floyd fans think the same thing about him.

Not the same thing. But nice try.

Typical of *******s. Honestly man, I wasn't even "anti-Pac" until dealing with them. Tell them to write to Pac and say, "Take the test!" We still have no idea if Pac even belongs in the top 10!

I agree....either one has a legit claim at the moment for the #1 spot...I think Manny is the P4P king until he has a bad performance or a loss to remove him from that spot. One way we can settle the differences is to see them both in the ring.:bbb

What these idiots who attacked Noted Columnist Kevin Iole don't realize, is that a ****in panel votes on this. The panel consists of 33 guys and 20 voted Mayweather number 1. I don't see the controversy. Mayweather was unquestionably number 1 when he retired. He came back and beat the hell out of Yahoo's number 4 or 5 guy at the time. It doesn't get him the number 1 spot back because his opponent was two divisions below him. Mayweather then beats the **** out Yahoo's number 3 guy, who fights at the same weight as Mayweather. You can easily see why they would elevate Mayweather back to number 1, and it has nothing to do with race and/or nationality.

    I like this idea.

I agree with it, but I also think that Pac will do better as the underdog and make a more competitive fight than if he were the favorite.

In fact the more people that pick against him, the better I think Pac's chances are.

    Not that he will win...
