Sources out of Argentina stated that WBO Junior welterweight champion Timothy ‘Desert Storm’ Bradley of Palm Springs, California (25-0, 11 KOs) will take on unbeaten welterweight contender Luis Carlos Abregu (29-0, 23 KOs) of Argentina on July 17th. The bout would be a non-title bout fought at the welterweight limit.

To me, this is an obvious move to get into a position to fight Mayweather or Pac. I wonder if he bothers to come back down to fight Alexander or if he continues to fight at welter.

It's a ***** move when you have Alexander right there looking to fight him.

That's what I thought it was all about but then I saw they'd taken it off of boxrec and he was going to fight Maidana, then I heard that wasn't going to happen. I don't know what's going on with Tim.

Hm, hes gonna be a small welterweight, but he's got the tools and drive to do a lot in the future.

Nothing to knock Pacquiao, but since he's not fighting at light welterweight since winning the Ring title, I think Tim and Devon both deserve to fight for the lineal title at 140. ABC crap and Emperor Sulaiman aside.

He's not moving anywhere. When this fight was initially agreed to they said it was a one time deal, but then the Maidana fight came up, now he is back to where he started. He wanted a fight at 140 but there are a lack of credible opponents available and there isn't enough money available for the Alexander fight right now.

I agree, I can't see Manny fighting again at that weight, not soon anyway.

He's ducking them? He's the one who is a proven champ, and they don't have much money on their names yet, especially Alexander.

I'd pay to see Bradley fight Alexander. It is THE fight in a stacked division...why not?
