Maidana, has to be if he wants to keep his belt isn't it. Plus he'd got a noted puncher on his resume which will appease some of his detractors... until they find something else to ***** about

    Maidana or Ortiz.

But I don't think people will settle for anything other than Maidana.

"Fight"? If it's Alexander, Khan ain't gonna be doing much of that!

    But it'll be Maidana...

Khan should meet Ortiz next - seeing as mandatory challenger Maidana is injured.
After Bradley and Alexander complete their next fights respectively - they should meet.
If Khan beats Ortiz, he should then face Maidana and if he beats him, should face the winner of Bradley - Alexander bout. Sound logical to anyone?

    Sounds very good.

What's up with Maidana? I had no idea he was injured.

Ortiz would be a good, I only found out on Saturday that there's a history there as they fought as amateurs.

I thought about Ricardo Torres but according to boxrec his last fight he weighted in at 151.5!

ESPN stated on 13th April, 2010 that Maidana's proposed 19th June title bout against Bradley had been postponed due to a back injury Maidana suffered. According to Bradley's Co-Promoter, the bout would be postponed for around a month, BUT, on the 3rd May ESPN again stated that Maidana had to pull out of the bout for a 2nd time due to the same problem.
The fight had already been resheduled from 19th June, to 17th July and Bradley's Co=Promoter said he hopes HBO will keep Bradley on 17th July, even against a different opponent - which has now been confirmed as Luis Carlos Abregu of Argentina.

I was told Torres just drinks and parties now lol, so that fight won't happen and yes Khan beat Ortiz at Amateur level at 16 years old but i can't get a link/video of the fight or how it went.

I think a showcase fight against Katsidis in July is perfect.

He's a young fighter, its a keep busy fight, if he doesnt fight in July, he wont be able to fight till October, and as a 23 year old, fighting 2 times a year is career suicide.

Many fans would love to see Khan take on Prescott in a re-match, a fight this time round Khan wins easily imho, but for now it's a backwards step for Khan especially as Mitchell comfortably beat Prescott on points.
Khan simply has bigger fish to fry!!

    I agree.
Khan said he wants to fight at Bolton then travel back to America.
Its only rumours now but I have a feeling Khan will take on Katsidis in July in London, then face either Ortiz or Maidana later in the year in America.
