Yey whatever i can bring up the Purrity fight Sanders,Brewster etc along with him fighting to tentative at times.

Bottom line Wlad would have fallen apart mentally if he went thru what Vitali did against Lennox.

Wlad got up after EVERY knockdown. That's heart. vitali QUIT on his stool with 2 rounds to go against a feather fisted cruiserweight GIVING UP HIS TITLE! all he had to do was go out and stall for 2 more rounds! Wlad never ever displayed such a pansy act in his ring career.

    Two things:

    1. Wlad would never lose to a 37 year old out of shape lennox lewis of 2003

    2. Wlad would have never quit against chris bryd with 2 rounds to go in a championship fight ahead on all 3 cards.

I agree on your opinion on Vasquez-Marquez, Marquez has alot more left i think Marquez is still good enough to be a PFP again, i cant say the same about Vasquez, and im not being biased cause i was actually rooting for Vasquez in the last fight even though im a fan of Rafa too.

I still havent decided on Perez-Mares yet:think Im very impressed with both Perez was impressive against Agbeko and beat a good champion. Watching Mares he looks like a cant miss future star, but i dont like the idea of him not ever facing any world class opponents. I am rootin For Mares as he is a hometown guy (next city over) but im still on the fence as to who i think will win. I think this is one of those fights were ill have to analyze once again before picking a winner.

Wlad has more heart, is stronger and tougher mentally. the only edge Vitali has is chin.

Agreed. It's flabbergasting to me that some people out there actually think Vitali is a mentally tough fighter. Unbelievable. :patsch

If anything being injury prone has made him stronger to deal with adversity and Heart,Mental toughness all come into play.

What has this to do with heart and mental toughness? Wlad raised again and agian against Purrity, if anything he proved his heart and mental toughness there.
Also coming back from three stoppages like Wlad did needs tons of mental toughness.

There are numerous fighters who fought on with a similar or worse injury. I don´t hold it that much against Vitali but he quit and you have to question his mental toughness. Wlad never quit.

The fight would look completly different. Wlad would not fight but box the out of shape, past it, old Lewis. Keep him outside, use his faster feet to stay away and win a boring UD. Perhaps a late stoppage if Lennox gasses.

But Wlad is not forgiven. And neither should Vitali. You are right Byrd was no cruiser, more of a natural lhw.

Ever heard of styles make fights?

I think odlanier solis is only a couple of big fights away from the top 5, he had a great amatuer career, hopefully he becomes a good heavyweight.
