Not sure any of them have a future, to be honest. I just think featherweight is a big jump for them and it is a fairly tough division now, but maybe if the winner of this looks good and they both have something left they can get back to past glories.

I thought Agbeko beat Perez, well the fight is on Saturday you better analyse it quick.

Agreed. Solis is IMO the most skilled Heavyweight around. One thing that worries me though is he is wearing cement shoes.

 

Well at least someone agrees with me tonight I forgot about this being at FW i think Marquez could be a force at JF again but i dont think he could handle a guy like Gamboa in a hth matchup. I saw some of Marquez last fight and he still looked pretty good, where as Vasquez looked shopworn. I do disagree with you on Perez-Agbeko although it was close i though Perez definitely won. I agree with you all the way on Solis his feet look very slow and that might hurt him against the elite, that could be a problem against a durable guy with movement. Much like Arreola they do themselves an injustice coming in out of shape. I have no doubt Arreola would have kod Adamek had he come in at under 240 that extra weight makes him ponderous at times.

If forced to pick a winner ill go with Mares every talented fighter has a fight when they have to raise above a quality opponent and i thik Mares has that "it" factor.

 

I think Vasquez vs Marquez (or perhaps I hope) could be one last swansong for each man as they give it their all, but I'm not too sure if their 'all' is all that much now.

But good read, I wonder what Vasquez could show Marquez which is new. In the third fight I thought he did better once he established his jab and jabbed his way in, thats really the only hope he has IMO. He uses his strength well (presuming he still has it) as he was able to literally drag Marquez into a war (as when Marquez jabbed, if you watch closely Vasquez caught it between his arms then pulled Marquez closer) and that is his best shot now IMO, I'm hoping that if Marquez has much left he will be able to just box it, so both guys dont take too much.

But Perez vs Mares is the opposite, I want them to slug it out. I really arnt that impressed with Perez.

Also I think Juan Carlos Gomez would have been top 15 when Vitali crushed him.

 

Never heard this.

It was the fight where Vitali entered the ring with holograms of famous fighters encouraging him. It was a pretty boring meticulous beat down.

It is his best chance though.

 

It was forgettable.

I actually think Vitalis level of opposition since coming back has been very good. Peter, Gomez, Arreola and to a lesser extent Johnson were contenders of the time.

 

Well Peter was arguably the best Heavyweight behind Wlad at that point in time, between him and Chageav really. I meant very good in relation to other Heavyweights.

 

And the fact he has had a 5 year lay off and the division is constantly changing.
