What about this quote from Roach:

"Shane came to the gym twice to ask me to let him fight Manny," Roach says. "I told him no both times, and both times for the same two reasons: First, there isn't enough money there, and second, you're too good a fighter."

styles, money and legacy. whether u are aware of this or not, cotto is going down as the better win over old man mosley at this point. people willl eventually remember that he hasnt had a significant win outside of the suspect margarito in many many years by the time he got to 38.

Thats Roach, Roach says a lot of things. Unless Arum or Pac has agreed to it, it dont mean ****. Ultimately, when it comes to fights, it always comes down to Arum & Pac.

And again, dont tell me your gonna say we wouldnt have seen Pac-Mosley if Mosley was under top rank and Cotto was GBP.

You are right Charlie born and raised in Detroit and proud of it. I am biased towards floyd at times but i do like Pacquiao as a fighter. Pacquiao vs Cotto was the last fight i bought on PPV by the way. Thats one thing i like about you Charlie is that we can agree to disagree without calling each other names and being disrespecful. I do not hate floyd kids people! I am proud to be a fan of one of the best to ever lace up the gloves. Floyd being from Michigan is a bonus.

Roach has a lot of influence on Pac. Let's be honest.

Arum is only concerned with lining his pockets. He probably wanted to milk Manny once more (Clottey) before letting him get starched by Mayweather. That's why the fight will happen now.

Roach knows Manny will get it too. If Mosley is/was too good for Manny, I'm wondering what he truly thinks of Mayweather?

roach has an opinion, he has no say

topranks matchmaker (cant remember his name), bob arum and pac make the decision ultimately.

this has been intrepreted wrongly for ages now. so listen up and never bring it up again. if floyd said ' i wont fight paul williams because a. there isnt enough money in it for me, and b. hes too good GIVEN that theres not enough money'. u get it? the two are connected.....no money AND tough fight = no fight. the difference between roach and mayweather is that roach is straightup and floyd plays games with the public (which he has to to protect his image and thus his earnings].

that floyd will use the split issue to make the negotiations harder again. he will demand more than 50/50 split this time as he suggested before the floyd-mosley fight.
