Lmao, the Johanneson who fought Mitchell was in his prime, he's totally washed up now. Its like comparing the Barrera that Khan beat, to the monster in the Morales fights.

Wtf? On what evidance is he washed up? He has had a break and he is back, Johannasen had been exposed as not much way before the Kev fight and Kev was out on his feet in that fight. Trust my words Murray would walk through Mitchell with EASE! Mitchell is to small for Murray.

What is the definition of sparring? what is the aim? What is its purpose?

What is the aim of a fight? What is the goal? What much you achieve?

Answer these questions and maybe you will begin to understand my point about Sparring Vs Fighting.

Mitchell will take him out. Boxing skills wise Mitchell is better and even though he may only be european level he is still better than murray. Murray needs to step up and fight better opposition before claiming hi is the best lightweight in Britain. All he's been doing is talkin about big fights never really fights anyone half decent.

I cant remember if it was this thread or another but someone asked who Mitchell had faced as evidence of him being able to beat Murray when it is in fact it should be vice-versa, who has Murray beaten that makes you think he would beat Mitchell????

There is always one mug who falls for the bait. Some Mug who actually thinks I'm looking for an answer. Sarcasm is a *****.
I have followed and participated in sport for about 25 years sucker.

e.g. If a top fighter is just starting his sparring for his fight camp and comes up against someone who is in condition and can box a bit of course they might look slightly bad. But when its fight time they are ready. The point is Sparring is Sparring, Fighting is where you want to perform, where you cant make mistakes, where you earn your bread and butter, gain your reputation, where everything is on the line. I think that's a bit more important than saying 'oh, I buzzed Tom, Dick and Harry in sparring'. Big Deal! Its all about fight night.

I'm Don Corlene to you sunshine.

i agree, although you can gauge abilties to a certain degree in sparring, it is no substitute for the real thing :good
