You don't get 40 KOs from 49 wins if you don't pack a punch. There have been weaker punchers than Sutherland mentioned already on this thread.

LIKE WHO? I remeber him he wasnt a big puncher and he never even kod anybody that good, the thread says huge puncher. He couldnt even ko glass jawed Alex Ramos with his best shots. Most of his kos were against limited opposition. He was a good fighter but more volume puncher and tough. I remember him having a war with the smaller Mario Maldanado( on Espn i believe) and he could stop him he barely won. Maldanado was kod by a smaller and inexperienced Tony Ayala, Ramos was kod a lot of times.

His Ko over Scypion was another war and an accumalation of shots got him late. Dont tell me about Sutherland i saw him many timesas a young fan more than a lot of other guys he was always on Tv.Above average puncher maybe, great puncher:nono

    Foreman - Morrison, Briggs, Stewart
    De La Hoya - Tito
    Vargas - Mayorga
    Wlad Klitschko - Peter
    Cotto - Mosley

Every one of those guys PFP hit harder than Sutherland.

As far as all around fighters the only ones id rate Sutherland over would be Alan Greene and Sam Peter. Hes about on par with Mccall and Bruno. Other than that all those guys are better punchers and fighters.

Are you serioulsy doubting Lopez or Mayorgas power?

Im not exaggerating when i tell you Lopez at Welter probably hit harder than Sutherland at MW. I cant think of too many fighters in recent years that could bang like Lopez.

I am indeed doubting Mayorga's power. I'd say it was decent, no better. And his technique was ****, thereby limiting further the impact of his punches.
